The Canadians have the same problems has the Brits its all the same. My company offers a supplemental health insurance to some of our employees as a extra benefit. Why would this be needed in a national health insurance? Because it isnt the solution to the problem. I think NCLB was a horrible idea from the start and most of Teddy's ideas were on the final draft. It doesnt change the fact that we still spend more did they have computers 10years ago? Now you are talking about a redistribution of wealth while a nice idea it isnt going to happen as much as I would love all schools to be equal. And if I were living in the Woodlands I would not want my property tax money to be redistibuted to Acres Homes schools. I would say I worked my behind off to be where I am and I would want all of my money to go to my childs education as possible it is human nature to want what is best for our own first then to help others.

I got one...this just happen recently.

I have a dear friend who was in between jobs. She left one to work somewhere else. Well her new job insurance would not go into effect for 90 days. She had a staph infection on her leg. Well with no insurance she took a chance and went to her old doctor. The doctor visit costed her $50  and she was given a prescription. Her prescription came out to $2100! She didnt have that kind of money for penicillin. So she tryed to do what she could and ended up going to LBJ (free hosipital). She called me around 9pm that night asking if I would bring her some food and asweatshirt ( I need to get my sweatshirt back). I took her what she asked for and was pissed she been there since 3pm waiting to see a doctor. She didnt see a doctor until 6:45 am the next morning. THE NEXT MORNING! I left when they took her to the back cause I had to go to work. She ended up leaving LBJ at 11 am


Now.........tell me why we dont need a Health Care System.

Well how much taxes do you think they pay in Canada on average to pay for the lovely health care and other socialist programs? On average 37% and the US....27%. I can tell you right now my effective rate is roughly 15% which will go up this year since I make even more than last year and it is killing me I give the government about $10,000 annually for them to just give it to someone with no job and has 5 kids and complains that they arent getting more. We dont have a socialist system but we still throw money at the poor as if that is going to solve their problems and we tell ourselves well we are trying to help the poor when we really arent we are making the problem worse. We need a comprehensive solution to get people to learn tasks that will help them in the long run and stop handing out money for no good reason but Reps dont want to because they are afraid of being called haters of the poor and Dems wont because they seem to think throwing money at the problem will solve it.

Isn't that why employers are required to offer COBRA insurance coverage options?

The NWO is made up of many Pharmaceutical tyrants. The CEO with the largest retirement pension in the world (above Bill Gates, etc...) is in fact a CEO of an elderly health care provider here in the US. Isn't the NWO looking to reduce the world population by 80%? What better way than to make necessary prescriptions unfordable.

Did she sign up for COBRA coverage from her previous employeer? I am going to say no from your comments so she decided to take the risk of no coverage to save a few dollars when she could have signed up for COBRA and she would have been covered. I am not going to say that I know or understand what happened to her I dont know her I didnt go through it but we take risks in the hopes that something bad doesnt happen but in the end it is our own fault for the risks if they back fire. I am not a cold hearted person but I still dont want to be taxed more just for that reason you listed.

Correct, over time the goal is to kill over at least 80 percent. But seriously, the NWO may not get their chance, we could end up doing it for them ourselves if we aren't careful.  There are how many countries with Nukes now...like 11 or so....and all this unrest in the middle east....sounds like a receipe for apocalypse to me.

Maybe the myans knew something we dont ? I'm having xmas in November 2012, just in case.... :P

Another good reason for watching News Hour with Jim Lehrer...no drug ads. That's all you see on network news any more. Another Bush blunder...making deals with the drug companies and calling it medicare reform.

Of course they are. He signed it and said what a wonderful piece of legislation he thought it was.

At the risk of repeating myself:

Always vote against the incumbent. If a politician can't steal enough in one term to set himself up for life, he's too stupid for a second term.

Since there's no incumbent in the upcoming, I'll toss a coin between Ron Paul and Ralph Nader.

Not to offend you but that seems absurd for anyone to want that upon anyone else. I do not understand how if I were to walk into a GHAC meeting and look around and realize that 8 out of 10 people will be killed to "solve" the worlds problems. As much as I do not understand Liberals I wouldnt want to see that happen. Has anyone seen the South Park episode where the conservative country music citizens are fighting the liberal rock music citizens the ending musical is hilarious and I would say almost true to an extent.
