the surgery went well, but the pain of rehab is a booger.....my leg is so badly bruised and beat up that the healing has become very painful. I am hoping that it will subside soon though and allow me to feel better

Ugh, not for me...the pain killers that I got made me really sick to my stomach... I was so glad when I could tolerate being off of them. LOL! Also, whatever you do, don't chase your pills with V8...REALLY bad idea LMAO!!

Oh man, Loretta, you have no idea how bad I want to get back on him!! I even convinced my parents to get me horse training DVDs for Christmas! LOL! I guess they figure that the DVDs are a lot cheaper than more doctor bills!!! LMAO! I'm getting my cast off tomorrow morning and then more x-rays will be taken to see how everything has healed up... Hopefully I'll be able to walk alright. I'll probably be put in some sort of brace for a while because being off of my leg for so long has made my muscles deteriorate quite a bit... I'll attach some pics of my foot when the staples were still in and I didn't have the cast... I have been trying to move my foot around in my cast and it is still hurting and the joint feels really tight... I am just so glad to be getting out of this cast though!!!!

A pic from what I could see!

                    Enjoy!

Well, I'm so glad that you are going to be rid of your knee pain, Loretta!! Just keep your chin up like you seem to be doing and it will all be over sooner than you think! I know these last six weeks have flown by and I'm just happy that I will be up and moving around soon! I fell down tonight because I lost my balance on my crutches, and hopefully it will be the last time! LOL!

Re: Do you hear what I feel?

It's set up in my room and it looks pretty good!! I had to kinda work with the stand a bit because the boards that hold the middle of the tank up had bowed...so, I stuck pennies and washers under it to support the tank...pretty smart, huh! I cycled it with some HUGE goldfish that I got from Petco, but since my accident I haven't been able to do much with the tank except for feed it. I'll be using it for Lyretail Sailfin Mollies later on down the line when I get the money to buy more of them LOL! But for now, I guess I'll just see how big I can get those goldfish...they've kinda grown on me!

Oh, sorry that the pics are so gorey...I forgot that I kinda had some meat sticking out of my incisions...LOL!

That's nasty...... I crushed my ring finger this time last year....it hurts like hell when it gets really cold and I have now come to find out that I can not rock out like I probably could on guitar hero cause my finger will lock up and I have to force my whole hand to hit that note....

Hope you guys get better! Loretta, sounds like you are gonna have one helluva xmas this year!

Hey EK, if you need a good referral to a really great doctor for your finger, I would recommend Dr. Horn here in Baytown! He was really awesome with my surgery and he has a really great bedside manner! I know, I know, you're thinking "Baytown...why would I go there? There can't be any real doctors there." But he's great! That sucks about your finger hurting so bad too... I've broken my feet 3 other times before this and they hurt sooooo bad when the weather changes! I'm pretty much used to it by now though! LOL! I'm really gonna have fun with this plate getting so cold this winter though!

This is the first winter I am going through since it healed....no surgery just rehab... but I am sure I will be able to work with it eventually.
