What substrate did you change to? Looking for something like ADA Aquasoil but won't drop the pH so low.

Splurged last night buying upgrades. Bought 20g Hagen co2 kit with drop checker, 2211, 13mm DoAqua! Lily pipe knock off from Hong Kong, 12"x12" dwarf hair grass mat, moss balls, dwarf sag, and a few other plants.

Updated it some. The substrate is a combination of aragonite and PFS. I have gone to just the sponge filter as well.

Redid the scape because the java moss was blocking a lot of the view. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355250381.505281.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1355250401.728148.jpg
Also removed everything from the ac20 except the purigen.

Return it and find a heater that keeps the temp around what you want. My 15watt keeps the temp at 76FOriginally posted by Chris.d514 View PostSo I went out and bought a small 15 watt heater for this tank nuts its not adjustable so if I leave it plugged in the temp stays around 85-86 but if I unplug it, it drops to around 73 at night. I'm planning on getting a timer for it after pay day but which is my better option til then?

That's good. My zebra nerites keep my tank algae-free. They clean the plants and everything. I don't remember the last time I used my algae magnet, but I can tell you it's been well over a month. I have way too much light for my tank and I run the lights for 12 hours a day.

Moved 2 Olive Nerites earlier and already have about 10% of the algae in the tank gone.
