if you have something that startles them they'll school, some sort of fast swimmer or intimidating in size.

Without predators my group is like ants after kicking over a mound. I bang on the glass and they regroup.

Literally 10 minutes after posting, I saw another one of my boraras get sucked into my filter and shredded. I've already lost 2 of the new batch!
This didn't happen at all with the first batch... I have my original 6. They even survived an ich infestation!

They also feed a little on algae and plant material. I always see mine picking.

I feed two little pinches of crushed flakes for my 150 and they all look to be full.

Remember also that this batch is fairly young, about half the size of what my first batch looks like now. My first batch didn't school for a while, and even now they don't always school but will do so about half the time. That's normal... It usually means they're comfortable enough to part.

mine are shcooling now but i dont know if thats beacuse i went from 10 to 20 of them or because the CPD are much bigger than they are. it is an erratic kind of school though, they seem to swim in a jerky manner where they occasionally burst into little sprints and then freeze...
feeding so many is always an issue, you jsut have to hope that the hundrier ones that need the food will be more agressive in feeding than the satiated ones (do fish even get satiated?)
