I dont have them with other fish but the current is pretty strong in there ! I'll give them time but what should i feed them ? crushed fish flakes ? how can i also make sure that all of them get fed ? I mean i have 75 of them haha

Give them time to settle, the new ones I got aren't schooling with the others I got on the regular but slowly they are joining in.
Do you have them with other fish? having something slightly bigger than them or some sort of fish that would resemble a predator would force them into a real tight school. A good amount of current will also do the trick too.

i feed mine grinded spurlina flakes, and they also love blood worms.....
And, thanks again tim for all you did to organize this group buy.

I have a small container of food just for them, tetra color and nls h20 flakes that has been crushed up into dust.

cool, good to know. i may let them chill with the shrimp for a while then since it is planted pretty well. i will try to find a little more moss or subwassertang in any caseOriginally posted by aquabee View PostMy first batch got really fat and happy and bright on NLS grow. It's amazing to see how tiny this second batch is compared to the first. And the CPD's are very active and haven't bothered any of my shrimplets (but I also have lots of moss thickets and heavy planting).

Thanks for the info. I'll just crush up my flakes smaller before putting them in

they do have very small mouths and i havent noticed them breaking small pieces of bigger flakes as much as when they just go after smaller bits. the omega one foods seem pretty good but i just started using them and i dont know if there is something better. small betta flakes (not bits) would be good too. omega one does make a super color blend but mine are coloring up without it. if i am not mistaken, the males get a good bit of color but the females may not.

Hmm..I might try changing flake food then. Maybe I'm just not grinding them up enough. Any other food suggestions that might help shrimp color up? They're also eating the Tetra Color and algae wafers every other day or whenever I feel like throwing some in.

mine are taking omega one freshwater flakes really well, i do grind them up a bit with my fingers first though. the shrimp like them as well.
and yes, thanks again for organizing and fronting the cash for this group buy Tim...the fish look great. i didnt realize the CPD would be so much bigger than the Chillis...definately not a good shrimp tank mate if i want shrimplets to live lol.

Hey, thanks again for setting up this group buy. I'm thinking about possibly picking up a few more (b. brigittae) but still unsure. What should I be feeding these little guys? I haven't seen them really eating any flakes. Maybe I'm just not watching long enough?
