Burn a Koran Day

I'm not grabbing at or clawing for anything. It is as plain as day. If you have seen the video or read the quotes, Obama has clearly spoken out against American citizens burning the Koran but when it comes to building the mosqe, he tells a room full of muslims that he supports their rights then refuses to speak about the wisdom of it.Originally posted by stevenallenbarnard View PostI see the claw marks on the ground. Exactly what is it you were trying to grab at?
Obama has no problem pandering to muslims here and abroad but has no problem admonishing Christians for being insensitive. He is showing where his loyalties truly lie.All men are created equal but his choices determine his value and what's in his heart determines his worth.

Makes me wonder if he never really had intentions of burning the books all along. Or if he tried to just use this as leverage for the moving of the mosque.Originally posted by freespool View PostHe has call off the burning
but another church said they would if he doesn't
But this pisses me off. If this does not cause a hatered for Islam I am not sure what will. To threaten this action makes me hate them with passion, and I was rather tollerent before. It makes me think of them as non civilized and uneducated.
Sound like good people to me...

Yeah and they are idiots and are protesting and rioting and dont really understand what the whole point is. They are the epitome of sheople. They do as their imam or cleric tells them to do.Originally posted by jeebus View PostDo you all not see the irony in one Christian just announcing the burning of one book causing hundreds of thousands to actually freak out, burn the American flag during their protests, and shout "Death to America!"?

Apparently, it's escaped folks' attention that the protestors are burning American flags and effigies of certain people and not Bibles. They are attacking the US and what they perceive as our imperialism, not Christianity as a whole. I think this is an important distinction often missed by the outraged in this country. I also think that as humans each of those protestors is capable of feeling emotions without an Imam or cleric telling them what to feel.Originally posted by Darbex View PostYeah and they are idiots and are protesting and rioting and dont really understand what the whole point is. The protesters have been reported to be chanting "kill the christians" and holding signs of hatred for Christianity. I also just read an articale from 2007 where muslims attacked a town in Gaza, distoyed the church, destoyed the christian figures in the church (crosses and statues of Jesus) and burned the holy books in the church.
But is a few crazy people in the US burn a few books it is all out war. I think they are savages. I also noticed in a picture of protesters in Afganistan that the people in front of the camera are looking all angry and yelling, but if you look at the people in the background I saw men with smiles on there faces. It is all a buch of crap if you ask me. They already hate us, and want to kill us.Fishtafarian- Fish are more than just a hobby, they are an obsession.

Example of destruction of religious symbols by islamic groups. Note that these all take place before the "Burn a Koran" day is announced. Need I add more proof that this happens on regular basis. They are attacking Christians, Americans, Freedom, and other things the western world stands for. To think its only about the US and that we are the root cause behind their muderous actions and if we just acted nice to them they wouldnt hate us is BS. They have hated us for decades and the burning of a Koran didnt change their feelings for us. The ones that are acting out would have done it no matter what.

And the funny thing that people do not see is that these idiots are doing this on the mere words of one pastor that says he will burn Korans but has not burnt them yet. They are preiminently striking out based on nothing but words. May I remind you of the calamity that ensued after the cartoonist made fun of Mohammad? These people dont even need a real event to take place to attack people and riot they just need someone to say its going to happen. And they also are burning American symbols when it was the action of a pastor and 50 members of a church. That would be like us burning every symbol of Islam and Saudia Arabia because 9 of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudi Muslims. We dont because we know that 9 people do not make a whole nation. But we are also more intelligent then these savages and is the reason we are the number one country in the world and we get to be fat and lazy.Originally posted by wesleydnunder View PostApparently, it's escaped folks' attention that the protestors are burning American flags and effigies of certain people and not Bibles. So what's the answer? Pre-emptive strike? Nuke 'em and be done with it?
If all muslims are violent criminals waiting for an excuse to attack us...
As you pointed out, Brian, this has been going on for decades, ever since we installed the Reza Shah.
Also, since 9 of the 9/11 attackers were Saudis, why did we invade two other muslim countries and not Saudi Arabia? Do you think the muslims might think that we're just looking for excuses to attack and Americanize their part of the world? That's what their leaders tell them.

We hit em where it really hurts. We cut them off and provide no more $$$ or aid.Originally posted by wesleydnunder View PostSo what's the answer? Pre-emptive strike? Nuke 'em and be done with it?

We bring our troops home and protect our borders (from ALL illegal entry) and ports of entry. Prohibit anyone who can't be identified or with ties of any sort to extremists from entering our country and we rely on our friends in the region. Our friends (India, Israel) are also the Islamic Extremists enemies so we focus on our friendships. "The enemy of our enemy is a friend" and the countries we need to be "Friendly" with like Saudi Arabia, we do so with caution.
But we quit all this BS of being sensitive and generous to people who hate us and would rather see us dead. All men are created equal but his choices determine his value and what's in his heart determines his worth.

Can't really argue with that, Charles, though it sounds a little isolationist. I'm curious though, why do we need Saudi Arabia as friends?Originally posted by ImaGuyGeek View PostWe hit em where it really hurts. We cut them off and provide no more $$$ or aid.

In retrospect, I wish he would go ahead and go through with it. People would have to buy the copies of the Koran to burn them. It would have been good for the economy.
