LOL! I have a DWI that I received in 1995. Politics had nothing to do with it. Therefore, her husbands DWI has absolutely no relevance.

I've never had a DWI but it's childish to go after her like that, it has no political relevance.
Also, I think it's rediculous how they're going after her daughter for being pregnant.  8O
Despite being an AVID republican, I did think it was very tasteful for Obama to point out that going after Palin's daughter is over the line.

Depends, have you ever had a DWI? j/k! Found it odd that you changed the charge. DWI & DUI are two different charges. :)

I don't understand why this is tolerated in politics. I agree. That is total BS!

So people started driving less and using less gas on the exact date that he rescinded the order....how coincidental! So....let me see if I understand. A trend that came about over months just happened to start lowering oil and gas prices on or about the same date that the President rescinded the order. OK, look at the graphs showing the domestic gasoline useage versus the retail price per gallon. When gas hit 4 dollars a gallon, useage started to fall off. As it's continued to fall, the price has been dropping because, the analysts say, the demand has dropped. Is it coincidental that Bush called for repeal of the offshore drilling moratorium around that time. It must be. Stranger coincidences have happened. As guy geek offered, and EK too, I think, this is all about supply and demand. Go back through the threads dealing with this issue and see. My point is, if the price depends on supply and demand, how can something that won't haveany effect on supplies for five years have anything to do with the supply-dependent price?

This data seems to indicate otherwise. It shows that the first 5 months of this year had lower fuel consumption which coincided with the price rising. And it also indicates that the prices began falling at the time consumption increased which also coincides with the lifting of the executive order.

So as you can see. Thinking for yourself leads to just making stuff up as you go. Learning the facts so you can back up what you say is actually the best way for one to represent themselves IMHO

Total U.S. petroleum and other liquids consumption is projected to shrink by almost 500,000 bbl/d in 2008 based on prospects for a weak economy and continuing high crude oil and product prices extending into 2009 (U.S. Petroleum Products Consumption Growth).  Preliminary June and July 2008 weekly survey data indicate that year-over-year declines in total consumption, which began in August 2007, have narrowed since earlier this year.  During the first 5 months of 2008, total petroleum consumption fell by an average of almost 900,000 bbl/d from the same period in 2007.  During June and July, the year-over-year declines narrowed to just over 400,000 bbl/d.  The year-over-year declines in consumption are not expected to be as large over the forecast period, with 2009 average total consumption about 120,000 bbl/d lower than the 2008 average.

                  Makes me Mad....

It does, it does make me mad, but not the price of gas, or being called a crazed NWO nut, nor the US backed republic of Georgia invading Russia and killing innocent people, and then telling the world "the Russians did it" what makes me mad is that there is so much doubt, mistrust, deception, lies, out right evil, that no one can live in this world as our father in heaven meant us to live.

It's greed, money, extreme wealth and power, and the lust of all power, all those things that the bible tells us that was offered unto Jesus, that has corrupted mankind and enabled the New World Order to blind mens eyes to their existance and their plans.

What makes me mad is the way the NWO and it's soliders of evil brought about every assassination and or deed of war that ensured one country would engage another and kill each others men and women senselessly without knowing for sure, why.

It makes me mad, not to know for sure, what the heck is going on in this world and who is telling the truth if anyone and who is just playing games with our lives.

It makes me mad to think that we may never know the reasons and the truth about alot of things. ....and most of all, it really makes me mad to hear about Fat Cat oil execs taking home multi million dollar pensions.... :)

Seriously, I can't get mad anymore at these things, we are all just men, plain and simple, we are all responsible for our own  actions, our history and our future, if there is one...we can't go on like this for much longer people, evil is spreading throughout this world unchecked and it's hiden in plain sight for no one to see, because it's already in you.

                  Go figure ...

                  CF

Not making anything up: From the Kansas City Star April 22nd 2008
"U.S. drivers are doing something they haven’t done for nearly two decades — consume less gasoline.

Gas consumption so far this year is down about 0.2 percent compared to last year, according to the Energy Information Administration. The federal agency is predicting that gasoline demand will be down 0.4 percent this summer and 0.3 percent for the year.

That may not sound like much, but it would be the first time since 1991 that there’s been a decline in annual gas consumption. And it would be only the eighth year since 1951 in which demand for gasoline has declined.

The federal agency noted that the decline was occurring in part because of a slowing economy. But it also said that higher gas prices were having an effect on demand.

“Sustained higher gasoline prices are beginning to show up in lower gasoline consumption,” said Tancred Lidderdale, an analyst for the Energy Information Administration."

                        This graph shows the story:

why are we in iraq? secure what?  Answer this one question!
No problem...and then I have to go to the airport to pick up fish.
If you can look past the humanitarian effort (and I know you can because the Republicans are behind and responsible for it) then lets take a simple "fact" that you have come up with yourself... the Republicans are responsible for higher gas prices. If you follow your logic (admittedly difficult in the best of situations) then the Republicans, by "invading" Iraq,  irritated the Muslims and we are now suffering the consequences through higher prices. So...since, by your logic, we have no reason to be there, it stands to reason that you believe inaction would not have raised prices. Bear in mind this is all disregarding the humanitarian reasons (genocide, etc.). But I, and many other sane logical people believe that Hussein (Saddam...not Barack) would have destabilized the area so severely that we would be suffering far worse than we are now. But let's say that the suffering  financially would have been about the same, just for the sake of argument. The idea of leaving a mass murderer in power in a region that we count on for our own economic well being was not acceptable. I don't know if you've followed mass murderers much, but they are, at the very least, just a wee bit unstable. If Iraq isn't important in the grand scheme of our national security, then why are all of you liberals so worried about destabilizing the middle east and keeping the muslims happy? In short, we had to secure our own nation's well being because there was the potential for a mass murdering dictator to so destabilize the region that it would make what we are going through now seem like nothing. Add in the humanitarian reasons, which you liberals are supposed to be all about, and the choice was clear. Add the very real threat of WMD's which were likely present....and please don't tell me that's not possible, because we know it is....and the situation warranted our action. Even though I don't agree with our President (yes...he's yours too) on everything, I am thankful that in this regard he had the courage to do what was right. Now let's talk about Obama's cocaine usage since Palin's husband's DWI (which occurred at approximately the same time, by the way) seems to be fair game...
