EK, which lights are you using? I would love to go back to my halides (which is why I still have them) but not has my primary light. I've been checking out Oceanlight, since I really miss that glimmer in teh water.

I also do 100% water change twice a week which plays a factor too.

Honestly I think 10x is just a guideline or minimal...just my opinion.

i always thought around 10x was good filtration but i guess you have to take account for the pop. whats the total pop of the tank?

oh... well yes it's actually on about 20-24x turnover.

With the second vortech it will put me at about 80x

I would say turnover/circulation rate is about 50x factoring in all the loss but with just punching numbers its 57x.
