Great job, Vicki. Your fish should show well in there.

    Mark
What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Thanks, Mark! I hope so. Although, I won't get to know at first.

My customflo kits and filter media will arrive today. When I get it, I'll then mix it all up with my media from my 75g filters. I also then plan to rescape my 75g (planted tank), putting the extra plants in the 90g as a holding tank. I want to do this because the plants will have good bacteria on them which will help seed the 90g tank, and the plants will help with the cycling process by utilizing the ammonia from the new fish. Plants will generally soften the cycling process. Tonight, I hope to add some new fish.

Eventually, most of the plants will be removed, and that's when I'll be able to see the final result of the fish with the scape as it is. But while the extra plants are in there, it's not going to look the same.

Hi Yoji, welcome to the Box!

Thanks for the compliment. I'm not sure what I'll put in quite yet. I'm getting some fish form Tim (armthehomeless) tonight, but I'm not sure which ones yet. I know I want smaller fish, and I want colorful ones. But I'm also interested in certain breeding behaviors, such as mouth brooders. I don't know a whole lot about the different cichlid fish so I'll have to learn as I go.

You can't go wrong with Tim for advice - he knows his stuff! Pick his brain while you're there tonight. :)

I will pick his brain and his tanks! I'm fortunate that he can get me started. I'm sure I'll figure out what I want as I know more about the different fish, but for now, I'm glad to have someone I can trust give me a head start to begin things.

Aggro, I plan to add more rocks. Not a whole lot more, but I'd like some more caves and a larger rock presence in the tank.

They're from Tim's collection! My first Tang cichlids! I dripped them to get the adjusted, and then put them in. They were so calm when I was dripping them and netting them. The last two, the males, were so easy that I just picked them up in my hand and placed them in the tank.

They started exploring all over! I think the current was a little strong for them so I turned the output heads a different direction which calmed down the center of the tank. I'll put the flow controls on this morning to help with that. I hated turning off the light last night, but I knew it was best for them. I can't wait to see them this morning and feed them for the first time! I was reading about them last night, and it seems they have small mouths and like small food so I thought I might try some frozen daphnia just to get them started.
