My carbon bottle is in my garage and hooked up to the outside faucet. Id rather do 2-3 50% water changes a week with the carbon bottle than 2 90% out faucet....

Lol I guess my fish are indifferent. No issues here. My temp dropped from 80 to 60 and no sickness or death. It was unintentional but now I let the water warm to 70 which is still a 10 degree drop.

you only need drop down the temp a few degrees to promote breeding, big drastic changes is no healthy and less for promote breeding almost killing them

Why don't u do it from the faucet, troph need their wc

That's what I've been doing lol!!! My fish have been stunned to the point of almost dying but after they recover they have been venting like crazy.

Cold weather = cold water. Can't do 90% water change with 65 degree water...

2 36" Ecoxotic led strips. Might be BC I've had to slow down on my water changes. Outside faucet during winter equals small water changes.
