    Nightster's 150g

Well I decided to try my hand at petros so I picked up some petrochromis trewavasae. I had been wanting another 6' tank and found a 150 on craigslist and scooped it up. It came as a complete tank, including a 2250 with upgraded pump. Well after a frantic weekend filled with painting stand and tank, plus some sore arms from moving the tank a few times, I finally got it set up in my dining room/fish room. Since all my tank stands are black I painted the stand black to match all the other set ups. The stand seems more like a piece of furniture rather than a fish tank stand. I went with a blue back ground on the tank to make the fish stand out more. Currently i have a dual over flow box with a wet/dry, both of my 2250s decided to act up and need some attention which they will receive in due time. Since petros are known to like flow I ordered 2 evo 1400 gph koralias to go along with the to 750s that are already in the tank. Sand is just pool filter sand. 2 different types of rock, red schist and petrified wood. The schist is actually kind of concerning me BC they have algae growth on them and I noticed the trews already snacking on the algae, but schist is very "flaky" for lack of a better word. I'm concerned they will end up munching on schist pieces, but that's probably just paranoia. Eventually I'll be adding some tropheus to this tank also, but I'm gonna wait a bit and try to power feed these guys to get some size on them. May also add some other petros, who knows. Pics will be up shortly, wont be many though. Will add some more tonight.
