Re: H.A.S. SPRING AUCTION !!! March 16
That is all well and good, and I would agree with doing that to prevent jackasses to take advantage of the system, but what about the bigger supporters of the auction who follow the rules? Screw them? I know I place fish in certain order in accordance the number people being there. Wouldn't it be smarter to notify the people that you bring the most $ in to the"club" the order of the tables to both "A" bring in more $ for them and the club and "B" keep your bigger supports almost happy? Making anyone happy is almost impossible but let them know you greatful for their large support of the club and knowing that their stuff is always all good, ie no rebagging, fish dying, and following the rules! I know for the last 2 years that the HAS has made at least $1000 plus off my items and I follow the rules, so would it kill them to tell me or Dave or the couple from Austin the order of the tables? Knowing good and well we make them the most $. Instead just leave us out and prevent us from making the most we can off our items, we already are taken a cut rate by auctioning them which we are willing to do to support the hobby and this club.
Well luckly for me, I sold most of my auction items via aquabid(no cut of 25%) would not have done so if I could get a straight answer from the folks in charge. Yall lost $ not me
. Thanks to the ones who has kept me informed cause they know I have been a big supporter not only as a seller but a buyer and knows it wasn't right. So thanks for looking out for your people!! Yall all good in my book, as for the rest, know that your club just lost out on the normal amout of $ from me and my kid brother to support your field trips, parties and so on.
Never complained about the price, luck of the draw, but amount of buyers at time of. You and I both know that table 4 and the last half of three, the number of people there is alot less then 1 and 2. Sell crazy somewhere else. I guess fish auctions run different then non fish auctions? Because they tell you up front the order when and how things are done.
