I have the same blasto and I have 3 new heads. Zero dosing.

Yeah, dosing is going to increase growth if your levels are lower before.

I don't know if the dosing regimen is the cause but ever since I started my red blasto has 3 new heads that I can see. I can't see the back side bc of the LR. My Duncan has 4 heads going and I can see spots where 3 more will start.

The alk and ca finally got to my back pumps. Forgot to take them offline periodically and soak them in vinegar. They stopped last night from build up on the propeller shaft. Soaked them last night now soaking them in hot water. Hopefully the motors have a fail safe so they didn't burn out.

I think is starts with cal at 480 but alk is lower.

Oceanic I was dosing calc w/o really testing but I stopped and dose alk and Mg now.

Which salt are you using? That cal looks high.

whats the mag at now? I just noticed i've been doing my mag test wrong.. Stupid elos test...

i was filling up 5ml tank water when i was suppose to use 3ml. So i thought my mag was like 1200... but it was really 1400ppm. Doesn't matter too much since mag doesn't really impact the tank that much. But my coraline growth jumped up big time.

Adding Kalk to the ATO and then adding Ca, Mg, and Alk manually to raise the levels. Actually havent been dosing Ca because that stuff is off the charts right now. But my Alk had been at around 7dKH. But after dosing about 1 oz per day its finally gotten to 9 dKH.

I was wondering that same thing a new months back.

You got a good amount of LPS, SPS, and coraline growth.

I thought you would have lower then normal levels of Alk without dosing.

So, are you now dosing one part of two part solution or you doing lime water?

Man Mg and KH has a big impact on the tank. Never realized how much it does. My coraline on my rocks are going crazy. I am starting to be able to control my KH levels, its slowly rising. I dose about 1oz a day.

So my 6 line is doing pretty good. But I swear he is waiting on my cleaner shrimp to make a wrong move. He hovers around him and goes in to attack but the shrimp swats him with his tentacles or jumps back. And then the chess match starts again.
