I have an ATO so its good. But I did find a vendor that sells glass tops for these tanks so i just ordered that to stop evaporation and suicidal fish

Looks great! be sure to have some RO or distilled water handy for top up.

So I decided to take the light apart and hang the MH over the tank to allow air to between it and the water. I have seen about a 2 degree drop in the water temp at peak time. Only downside is it is completely open and the Mandarin Goby committed suicide this morning. So I am not sure if I should still get the LED hood or not.

Nah not since I got rid of the plate coral. Everything else seems to be fine. Especially my four group of zoas they are spreading onto the base rocks. On a side note I am so pissed even Marine Depot is on back order for the lights. I wont get them till the end of May and I just got some new frags today.
