    little update....
So since my experience with hyper-salinity it seems i may have killed off some beneficial organisms and my tank seemed to go through a mini cycle. Lots of diatom algae growing everywhere for the last couple weeks. Had to frag my Digi because of the die off, lost my superman monti and probably gonna frag a couple more sps tomorrow because of bleaching. Although, on a good note everything overall is looking a lot better, zoas are coming around, good polyp extension on sps has returned and diatoms are fading away.
I hope that sharing my experience can help someone else down the road.

    told you it looked bad.

when i get the money i'll set up my reefkeeper with a salinity probe. i should have got a new hydrometer a long time ago the one i had was really old from the first time i set up a SW tank in 2003-4.

that zoa colony was one of my favs before it started going down hill

been having problems with this tank lately not 100% on the problem. thought it might have been temp swings but now i think it might be salinity i got a new in-sump hydrometer the other day and its show a higher reading (around 1.028 ) than my older hydrometer which shows 1.024 i want to find a third hydrometer to double check both .....i hope i dont come up with a third different reading ......ugh
