      Re: The Presidential Debate

I find it interesting how the faithful of each party hear what they want. Fox News had a panel of 23 undecided voters watching last night's debate. None of these undecided voters held membership in the Dem or Rep parties. These are the voters that both candidates are courting, because let's face it, voters affiliated with one of the two parties have pretty much already made up their minds. These undecided voters watched the whole debate. At the end, they came to the conclusion that Obama had come out ahead. Four of them made their decision based on last night to vote for Obama. None said they'd vote for McCain. This was reported by Fox News this morning.

        Re: The Presidential Debate

Another thing; back when the debates were brought to us by the League of Women Voters, we had an actual REAL debate which included all candidates. Now, since the ONE party runs the show, we only get to see its two candidates. Why is this ok?

          Re: The Presidential Debate

I might get scolded for saying this but let me tell you that this is coming from a guy who always voted Democratic since I was 18 years old.

I do not know how people who are blind and uneducated are willing to vote for a guy do to race. That is what this is coming down to! Obama has no experience to be president. He has shown that over and over again. The man has friends that are against the United States and has been able to advert the attention. Something tells me that he has ties to the muslim religion. I also feel that he is going to abandon Israel which to me is not only a friend to the United States but I hold that country dear for religious reasons.

What scares me to death is that we have men and women fighting for our rights and even thoughs who are blind! Anyway, our troops are not going to get the funding that is needed to protect them. Like it or not, we are in two wars and it is in our troops and the United States best interest to have the funding. No matter if it is one soldier or 10 billion soldiers, it is worth every dollar to make sure that they have every chance to defend themselves for your freedom. There are people like me who are too damn scared to join the military but unlike me, they want to turn a blind eye because it is not their child, brother, sister, mother or father going to fight for me and you! Obama is going to stop the funding! He is going to make it hell for those who are already living it. These people who keep saying to just pull out need to get their heads out of their butts and realize that we are too far into the war to just pull out.

Something tells me that an Obama administration is going to be hell on earth. I think he is out right lieing just to win the election. He has been proven to play dirty in the past. If this is what the Democrats have come down to than I don't want anything to do with it. My advice is for the people who vote for john McCain to start making deep basements and when the fire of hell comes this way than to jump in it and close the door so that the only ones who deal with the heat is those who voted it in.

I just hope that Obama is not the false messiah as the people are claiming and that he does not destroy the United States as a country. Am I scared? You damn right I am! It has been said in the past year that even the strongest empires have fallen.

I guess all I can do is just turn it over to God and pray for the best! I just can not believe that anyone would hire a man to be a CEO of a company without the experience and the qualifications. But  yet, we are fixing to let someone that no one has ever heard of until he walked on the door step of John Kerry's convention, become president of the best country on this planet!

I am 34 years old and September 11, 2001 woke me up. I found out things that scared the crap out of me. For starters, look up the "SKULL AND BONES". Not only was the whole Bush men in it but John Kerry and other well known people! It has been going on since the late 1800's but not even the schools teach us about it. My point is that you people need to wake up and realize that there is more than what you see happening! This government moves so fast that nine-tenths of what you don't know happens right in front of your eyes. All of a sudden you get something like the economic crises happens and then you pay attention. So be sure that you know everthing that you can about the man you are wanting to elect to be president!

            Re: The Presidential Debate

These debates where in my opinion, the "OLD DOG & FANCY PONY" show directed and produced by corporate media that we are supposed to appreciate.

Without the support of the major media streams, do you really think for one minute that a suspected black muslim could be presented to the people as a viable prospect for the presidency of the United States.
Where did all his campaign dollars come from...I'm fairly sure, the majority of the middle class did not cough up all those millions. And, who cares about all that money anyway, just how in the heck did the media get away with covering up or ignoring all his suspected dealings with shady characters and his obvious socialist agenda. Then on top of that, the media turns around basically, glorifies this no name junior senator who tells us only, he himself can bring us HOPE & CHANGE, like those words alone are going to solve all our problems facing this nation.

He is surely a puppet of the NWO.

While you're doing this looking around, you might come to the realization that the empire is already falling. We are the most powerful country on the planet with the most powerful economy on the planet...at least we were and it was. American financial woes are rippling out to affect the rest of the world's economies. Phil Graham said there was no recession and we'd become a nation of whiners. McCain said a few weeks ago that the fundamentals of our economy were strong, then two hours later said we're in real trouble. We haven't become whiners, we've become deniers. It seems that no matter what is done, or by whom, a denial is all it takes. No one wants to take responsibility for what they say and do any more. Where are the CEOs of these huge banks? Which of them is telling the American people that this mess is their fault. In a recent meeting in NYC of these same execs, the discussion was for more deregulation. We've spent the last 30 years in an orgy of greed and living beyond our means because corporations have convinced us that it's the American way. We live our lives on credit, run our buisnesses and country on credit. When the bill comes due, we start asking for the handouts and the bail outs.

I really don't think turning anything over to an invisible magic God is going to do anything but keep us in this mess. It defers responsibility to someone else...again. I say we get off our asses, start saving our money again and start taking responsibility for what we say and do...ALL of us.

A child of a Muslim father who went to a Muslim school for a few years makes him a black muslim? I am an Independent who has voted for both Repubs and Dems. I appreciate valuable information to help make up my mind. But using unsubstantiated fear mongering turns me against any party that promotes it.

It is not the fact that he is muslim... It has to do with him lieing about it! I am a Christian but I would never lie to benefit my wants.

I agree for the most part but I will still pray to my God! Thanks to Obama... I will even carry my Bible to the voting booth! Maybe my gun permit!

                      Re: The Presidential Debate

Did we not all see the picture that was passed around the internet about 3 or 4 months ago, where Obama is standing with his arms at his side, while the national anthem is being played and the others in the picture have their hands over their heart?

During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. -- United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171Turns out that not wearing a flag lapel pin isn't the only way Barack Obama chooses to show he's a different kind of Democrat. Have a look at the photo from the October 1, 2007 edition of "Time." It shows Obama, Hillary and Bill Richardson at the Steak Fry of Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on September 17 in Indianola, IA during [according to the photo caption] the National Anthem. Richardson and Clinton have their hands on their heart. But not Obama. Does he perhaps believe that, like wearing the flag pin, the hand on the heart isn't "true patriotism"?View video of anthem-playing here, showing that Obama never placed hand over heart. Warning: prepare ears for fingernails-on-blackboard rendition of anthem.
