    Re: The Presidential Debate

I could feel how passionate he was
Actually...I really gave it no thought..but to say that carrying a gun is the right of the owner, but the non carrying citizen who does not know whether the carrier is a good guy or bad should be given information to determine for themselves whether they want to be in their company. Pork and Beans carry a label that lets me to determine whether I want to buy it or not. The same principal applies to a concealed gun carrier. I'm not a threat to them because I dont have a need to carry a gun.
But I don't want to be in the company of someone who feels to need to carry a concealed gun. Let me know so I can make a decision based on fact, is all.

Gee wouldn't it be great if this string also provided facts rather than fabricated stories about the presidential candidates? Oh Oh..my true purpose of raising the gun issue has been exposed. :liar:

      Re: The Presidential Debate

Do you really know if a cop is a good guy or a bad guy? Not really....but we trust the background check to which they are subjected. Much the same should be true with CHL carriers.  The label on the can of pork and beans tells you what's in the can. That labeling has been put forth in accordance with a set of standards and guidelines...just as the CHL carrier has been subjected to a set of standards and guidelines. Those standards and guidelines give you the fact that the CHL carrier has passed that set of guidelines....a set of guidelines that society has decided as acceptable. Now.....you certainly have the right to decide that those guidelines are unacceptable by your standards...but you don't have the right to override the wishes of and rules established by the society as regards to the "concealed" portion of the acronym. Society has already decided where there are to be exceptions for those rules. So, as an individual, you are not able to change how these rules and guidelines are applied. Unless, that is, you find enough like minded folks that can vote with you so that you can, as a majority, change those guidelines.

True...but remember that black candidates typically show higher numbers in the polls than they actually do on election day...it's called the Bradley effect...if you'd like to look it up. It may be why Obama's numbers are showing higher than they might be.

                Re: The Presidential Debate

I don't know if race will effect the polls much.
Albeit, there will always be a few extremists....but just as people will not vote for Obama because of his race,
he is also getting some votes because of it.
But the same goes for McCain, (sadly) some people are voting for him because he fits the bill...he's an old white guy, lol.
But in return, some people don't want the same old thing, so they're not voting for the old white guy.

I think the race thing works both ways, equally as bad.
But it's just how it is. People will be people and always have their judgments (as pathetic as they may be).

                  Re: The Presidential Debate

i dont say much about this but two things.

                  1.  People are voting for obama because of his color and not voting for mccain because of his color.  racisim is a any color or any kinda people thing.  its not one sided.

                  2.  I have a CHL and proud of it.  You see me,  you can freakin GARUNTEE i have my gun on me.  Thats my right and priviledge for being a truthful law abiding citizen.

I choose to carry a gun, and its none of your business whether i have it or not.  Just like its none of my business what you have on you or not.  I carry my weapon lawfully and strickly by the laws set forth by lawmakers for me to carry my weapon.  if you dont trust me with it then fine.  but you must be one paranoid mother      if you dont trust a law a biding citizen to carry within his licensed right cause there are TONS of people that arent law abiding and carry guns.

                      Answer one question for me:

WHAT HAS BARACK OBAMA DONE FOR THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA? ANYTHING?

                      Then answer this question:

WHAT HAS JOHN McCAIN DONE FOR THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA?

People want to get on here and ask for proof! Prove to me that Barack  Hussien Obama is not muslim!!! Prove to me that Barack  Hussien Obama is not friends with Bill Ayers!!! Prove to me that Barack  Hussien Obama did not know that his pastor was saying "GOD DAMNED AMERICA"! Prove to me that Acorn is not pulling strings for Barack  Hussien Obama! Prove to me that I can trust Barack  Hussien Obama! Proof! I want proof!

I can prove all day long that John McCain has fought for his country! I can prove that he has been able to work with both democrats and republicans! I can prove that he has a record to show me what he stands for! And my friends, it is not because I have just speeches to take him at his word! It is because there is actual documents to prove to me that he is what he says he is!

So now... Show me your proof!

Plenty of them in the Montrose area. So where will this tattoo go . I'm guessing with current trends either:
                        1. Your neck
                        2. Your foot (so you can show it off when you wear your flip flops in public). Either circling around your ankles or each phrase on a single toe.
                        3. Your bottom, so we'll only see it if you moon us!

Now you just have to think of the font, size and color.

As wordy as it is, you may just want to have a things to do list tattooed instead!

I am interested in the turnout of the young vote...the Internet grass roots that are reported strong for Obama and are newly registered voters (Mostly College age voters). These folks have escaped the poll radar. This is the group,I would think, the Republicans fear the most. But , presently, they are an unknown.

If they turn out in huge numbers I believe we will see an Obama landslide. But that is an IF..

the way acorn falsifies registrations and all that for the dems shows you y obama is ahead in the polls  voter fraud and its always on the dem side.  go out and get 300 crackheads to registar for the dem party and then everyone thinks they are gonna vote.  no they wont they wont show up.  and the liberal media keeps tellin us obama is the best and hes ahead in the polls so then people being as stupid as they are say,  oh well looks like everyone else is voting for obama so them maybe i should follow the herd cause im too STUPID to make my own educated decision and vote for him too.  how many herd followers we have here???
