We had previously asked Charles to finish conducting the bidding through PMs, because technically auctions aren't allowed here. So as to avoid breaking any rules, that is. But we felt that it was imperative to leave the threads open, because of Spirit.  :)

Sorry, Reba, don't mean to tie up your thread, but I just want to explain this and be done with it. Please PM Charles with any bids on any of the 5 auctions. I'll add that to all the auction threads, but since the boss-man locked them, I'll keep them locked. He was out of town and unaware of the special situation. Just don't forget about them!!  8)

Since they were locked, I emailed HFB about it. I have yet to hear back about any details concerning the threads. I'll let you all know as soon as I do.

I will be happy to finish the auctions through PM's, but:

1) I never received (to my knowledge) a PM asking me to conduct them through PM's from anyone.
2) I would like for someone to provide me a link to the rule that governs this.

I'm not arguing or upset....just want clarification.

He put a link to the rules or whatever in each of the locked threads.  What I didn't understand is who would have complained about not knowing the reasoning behind the auctions consdering that the original thread was in each of them as well.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I knew what it was for and it was described in detail if I remember right.

Edit: just went back and looked and there is a link on each thread that brings you to this one which explains what the fund/auction is for.  
Maybe they just didn't want to read it.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people in the world who jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts.   :?   Ends up crapping it up for those of us trying to help out a fellow 'box-er-in-need.  It would have been nice for the complainers to ask the question before running off to tattle -- since they didn't bother to read the thread explaining the cause.  Just my opinion.

I'm so glad Spirit is doing better each day, Reba. I'll have to make a meeting now so I can meet her and get my kisses. Sorry to see all this hassle with the auction threads. Hopefully it can get worked out to Spirit's benefit.

Normally a person to complain would be a sponsor.....seeing as we only have two of them here and knowing the two I doubt it was them.

Probably some other supposed want to be sponsor or LFS complained either that or someone that got canned in the past through the sale section.....
