I just wanted to let everyone know she has been able to eat more today.  We are trying to get her to eat a little more slowly...so more meals with smaller servings until her stomach makes it back to close to normal...which the bet said might take a while.  She is trying to play with the other kids, but tires easily.  She wants to be right where we are.  Spirit is awesome... a very strong girl.  She is definately an example of the power of prayer!

Mark, you and many others helped get her to this point.  Remember...you will get your reward for this.  I don't know when and i don't know how...but it will happen :-)

I have included two pictures of Spirit I took today.
Her hair has already begun to grow back where they shaved her right front leg for the IV.

Thank you everyone.  Like I said before.. there is still a long road ahead of us.. but she is doing so much better.  We may have some setbacks, but so far....*knock on wood* so good.

She is a large dog.  She was 45-50lbs before she got sick and she is only 5.5 months old.  She is down to 35lbs but we are working on that slowly. ;-).  Latte (beside her) is a tea cup chihuahua who is a bit portly lol.
We are waiting for Spirit to put both of her ears back up.  She had just achieved that the week before she was ill.

She must have lost alot of weight. Poor baby..... :(  She looks so small in the picture. The tea cup chihuahua is so adorable. Spirit looks really good for being so sick. Keep up the good work. I'll keep praying for her and your family.

Okay....
Just another update.  I have received quite a few calls today since i hadn't mentioned a whole lot lately on the condition of Spirit.  She is forgetting all of the old rules and making up a few of her own... like "I am a big girl and can reach anything on the stove now".    Thank goodness we were playing with her during that time and NOT cooking *shaking my head*.  She has a ton of energy, has begun clearing the couches in a single leap for fun, and is inhaling food as quickly as we give it to her (which we offer it very slowly lol).  Hopefully soon we can have her eat on her own again.
Thank you very much everyone... I'll tell you what... if it is possible, we will bring her to an upcoming meeting so she can give her kisses as thank-you's.
