Yes... I am begging.
I apologize for not having the savings to put towards her vet expenses. My animals DO get their vaccinations... I give them myself. They receive capstar if I see even a single flea. I deworm at least once a year whether I see evidence of worms or not. The last three nights, Berni and I have slept... or rather laid around with Spirit.. telling her to hang in there.... to fight. The vet said this afternoon she was fighting the pain meds... she wanted to stay awake. He said she is a fighter. We may have caught it early enough to fight it with both barrels... but she still only has a 70% chance. We discussed it, and if the vet had said she had a 10% chance we would have allowed her to pass peacefully in our arms at the vet... but 70% is still passing.
Anyone who has seen my home... or met my animals... they are treated like royalty.
Again... even if you call the vet and say you will send him $5 and i don't even need to know about it.
A vet from DrFosterSmith.com is going to be in contact with my vet since her last series of shots came from them. Animal Control is going to be targeting my street and picking up stray animals. One of the loose animals is carrying parvo.... I have warned all of my neighbors to get their animals vaccinated PRONTO. I gave out websites and told them of feedstores who sell the vaccines... and told them to make sure they stay refrigerated until they are used (mine was). Even if you pray for Spirit..it would mean the world to me. I know I originally came on this forum seeking help for my classroom. I think we can manage two days for her to be at the vet's office. Each moment she is there longer... getting IV fluids and allowing us time to clean and bleach the house... she has a better chance of surviving. I am willing to sell my ENTIRE colony of BREEDING buffaloheads ($150). I am willing to sell a (proven)breeding beloved pair of my favorite sugar gliders ($200). I am willing to part with almost anything I have including a parrotlette that I actually have become attached to after an interesting rescue maneuver. I will make you aquarium decorations, make a long trip (um... you would have to provide the gas money but some of you don't have the time...and I am off for the summer and don't mind driving for hours). Do you need some multi shell dwellers? I have 5 LARGE adult buffaloheads who have not paired up yet that I can almost guarantee at least two will pair off. The 5 would be $75. I have a 6x9 bound berber rug that is stored and has never been unbound or out of the box $50. I have an original gameboy system with night light, battery pack, and several games in travel case ($50). Please, I am just trying to save my pup... all 45lbs of her... she has so much life left if we can get her through this.

IT is actually a major plan in my schedule.
Do you want me to bring anything I listed?
The only way I won't make it is if Spirit gets worse.... but right now she is pretty stable...
She even nervous pee'd when we visited her right before they closed....but no vomiting. There is a good chance she will continue to improve OR get worse before she gets better.

I worked at an Emergency Animal Clinic when I was in high school. I saw what Parvo looks like and so you and Spirit got totally under my skin.

please do call me on how she is progressing. my thoughts are w/ her as she sounds so special. the "spirit" in her is what will keep her strong.

Mike took thier Chinchilla over there. She is very fair and yes, blunt so not to give false hope.

I had an idea...
I think I am going to bring a buffalohead adult trio to the auction/meeting. I know they aren't THE fish of the moment.. but once you see them in action, you can't help but adore them and their little knobby heads. They will be for the Spirit Fund. If anyone wants any of the other fish to go up for auction... the multis, a rusty, juvie mbunas grown in my tanks... let me know. I appreciate all of the pm well wishes... you all touch my heart.

I have a pair of Buffalo Heads I got from you last fall. I believe you sold me five, but there's only two of them left. Anywho, I'd like to buy another four or five if you don't mind. I'd be happy to give you like 10.00 each for them. But if your entire colony is spoken for that's okay.

I think Rob (jughead) has the right idea on this. Here's what I'm going to do. Tomorrow sometime in the Fish Market I will post five items which will be for sale over a five day period for each. The proceeds from these items will be donated to the fund for Spirit. The first four will be from my personal collection, the last from the store. I will take bids on the thread until the posted time. Please bid high. Wish I could just donate directly but money is tight. The items will be as follows:

1) One pair of Neetroplus nematopus
2) One pair of Gymnogeophagus sp. "Norte" (This is a new species collected by Spencer Jack last year not yet readily available to the hobby)
3) Six juvenile Cyprichromis sp. "Jumbo Isanga"
4) Four juvenile Ophthalmotilapia ventralis "Gombe"
5) A $50 store credit to Fish Ranch in Rosenberg

You have all truly gone from my family away from home... to my chosen family.

I met Spirit a while back....she is a very sweet pup and has beautiful blue/gray colored eyes. Reba, our thoughts are with you guys! You definitely are surrounded by friends and "family".

tyvm Steve. Prayers are her strongest ally right now... along with the fluids and nice pain meds ;-). Spirit has a strong well... spirit. The vet's wife works at the office and couldn't get over her beauty. You are all sooooo amazing.
