we should have a get together, meet-up whatever sometime to learn more about guns and whats the right thing to do, i used to own a handgun when i first move down to texas, then i got rid of it because i felt like i have no need for it, but after what happened in Ike and all the held-ups that is happening in china town this past few months, i really think i need to get it again. i do carry a fighting stick, but i don't think it'll help me out much anymore...

I just renewed my CHL last Monday...I'm thinking about going back and taking a tactical class from the guy who taught the CHL renewal. Anyone else interested in something like that?

You OK, Chris? That's totally scary. I can't believe how bad things have gotten. You hear about it all the time, but to know someone that it happened to really hits home. We hardly ever go out after dark and now, it reconfirms why.

Yes, you're right but normally... chl = handgun, home = shotgun all that is left is the rifle. You now get training in all 3 fields at the same time!

I went to Top Gun for my renewal since it was close to home, and was pleased with the class. 5 hours and I didn't get bored once. The instructor was named Mark Rothkop. They have lots of different kinds of classes, but I'm most interested in the tactical/defensive pistol class. I know Mark teaches most of the classes so I have no doubt it would be good.

hmmm call the cops... last time i went to that store at night the security guy was ann off duty hpd officer... not some uncommissioned tool with a whistle... now about caliin the cops... i know if somethin went down, that i would have to call it in... im not a vigilante or somethin, but me and h-towns finest dont really mix... ive been on both sides of the law, and i just try to stay under any and all radar, thats all... by putting my post on fishbox, i just hope any of you guys near or around me can use the info to stay safe... we should have a hfb meet n greet/ range day/ crawfish boil !!! lol

Trust me I have been on both sides as well and probably more of the cold cubicle side then the good.

When you pull your side arm you should call the police just in case a third party witnessed it you don't want this bum calling the cops on you saying how you try to rob him.... the third party only saw you point the gun at him not the other way around.
