Did a complete overhaul on my tank this weekend. Got tired of the way it looked with the soil spreading everywhere. I also changed out the discus and going for domestic discus so they can handle the increase in traffic with the new baby and all.

Good point. As stocking changes in my tank, I try to tailor the amount fed. It sometimes takes a few days to figure out how much they'll consume at each feeding. Well-fed discus should have a nice round forehead, which is where fat is stored. Pinched foreheads can indicate not enough food, not enough nutrient balance in their food and/or intestinal parisites. NLS discus pellets have a good protein/lipid/fiber ratio. As you know I'm a proponent of feeding multiple kinds of foods to discus.

No Nerite eggs will only hatch in brackish. Mark I did QT him for a 2-3 weeks. He was a little under fed when i got him (charity case) but he eats well and has nice solid poo.

Nice pics, Brian. The new guy looks a mite thin. Did you quarantine him?

Wow....well, eggs none the less. Will they hatch in there, or do they have to have brackish?
