I got released at 10am this morning and it took about 45 minutes to drive home (normally a 15 minute drive with traffic/lights). I only saw the southwest side of town, but based on that I can tell you that the city is in bad shape.

My wife lost power at home around 8pm last night and it came back on about 6pm today. No damage to the home, or most of my neighbors, but a few didn't fair so well. We had a generator that she started up immediately and so the all the fish are good.

I had to take a mish-mosh of roads to get home this morning, taking me past Xtreme Fish on Bellaire. They had some water leaks and wind damage, but had generators running and all the fish looked good.

I'm alive, which unfortunately is not the case with most of my fish. The power went off at 2 am this morning, the apartment complex sustained much damage, there is a leak in the ceiling above my bed, and despite the water changes and battery operated air pumps, I started having fish die off left and right. I am at a friend's house in Austin. I left today around 4 pm when I saw that braes bayou was flowing in the opposite directing again and was threatening to flood again. Not sure when I will be back, but being in my apartment with no power, ac, internet, tv, phone signal of any kind (including cell), and having my fish die off left and right was bad for my mental health. Hope everyone else is ok.

Still no word from David but Alexa is fine.

All the neighbors look like the front lawn lifted off the ground along with the big ole trees that fell!

Three doors down a neighbors tree landed on three of his vehicles so the whole day was spent cutting those trees down.

I'm good, only lost the satellite antenna which just bent and didn't even bother the roof.

Well, I called our maintance manager at the apartment and she said part of our patio is lost, no windows are broken, and my fish are fine for now. She even set up all my battery air pumps.  I didn't even have to ask! I'm still not home but we are leaving this morning, we are also bringing home a second generator just in case. I won't have internet once I get home so I wanted to let everyone know all is well over here. I'll see my babies later today. I think I have the cell number Raul, I may send send you an update on the fish so that they can pass it on (if that's ok) . I am so sorry to hear about your babies Nick, it's killing me not to see mine but I felt better when someone looked in on them last night. Wish you all well and will talk to everyone soon, glad to hear we finally heard from Alexa, now if we can just hear back from David.

I'm so sorry, Nick, let me know if there's anything I can do to help.  Also, if you're in the Katy or NW Houston area, since my power is back on I have five battery operated air pumps if anyone needs to borrow them.  I don't have any extra batteries, they take size D and will operate on one, although there's room for two.  Pm me or give me a call if you'd like to come pick them up.

I have power and I have 3 battery operated pumps that works.
If you can come to my house you can borrow them too.  I am in Katy.
The HEB, and other stores around me are open.  You can buy batteries there... and more important you can buy other supplies which you might be low on.
The Shell stations around me are open and have gas.

I am near Fry and Westgreen south of I-10 in Katy

edmlfc - I am so happy to hear that your manager checked on everyone and that they are okay.  I was so worried about Elvis!!

We have 11 battery operated pumps and (I think) about 32 D-Cell batteries.  We are in Sugarland at Beltway 8 and 59 if anyone wants to borrow them.

Power went out right before midnight Friday and it's still off, but it's supposed to be on tomorrow. We just got cable and internet back so I can finally put the generator to good use. No real damage here, maybe a shingle or two and some limbs down, but our Sonic is destroyed.

That's good to hear about Alexa. I've been trying to check on things from my phone but it doesn't completely load the pages and it blocked me more than it let me one. Hopefully Davis is alright too- prayers going up.
