Okay, power went out at 3:30am and stayed out until just now.  I'm not really understanding how that works...I thought we were going to be down for good.  Had battery pumps on all the tanks and ended up taking a nap for about an hour.  I woke up when power kicked back on.

I'm crossing my fingers that power stays on.  It is incredibly windy out here in Sugar Land.

I'm in Louisiana, little rain and lot's of wind. Has anyone heard any news from David and Alexa? I know we had electricity until late last night but we have none now and noone home to turn on the battery pumps. Worried about my fishes.
Please if anyone heard from David or Alexa give us an update.

Time now 9:56am -- I am okie.. I have power/AC is blowing and I am fine :)
Wind is now down to a breeze and slight drizzle.
First estimate from damage to the front of the house -- none
Looks like neighbors trampoline came over the fence for a visit in the middle of the night.

Well Heather and I are ok.  We are here at the In-Laws with a generator and a laptop computer. Not much damage here but just checked our house and there is a tree on it, fences are down, our trampoline is in our front yard now, little damage to the roof.  The fish are ok for now but probably will lose most of them if power is out much longer.  We don't  have any battery air pumps!  We are saying our prayers for everyone else and hope David and Alexa are safe.

lost power for a few hours at the hotel.  Back driver side window shattered on my van.  

A friend  back in the neighbor hood said our house looked ok from the street and there was hardly any flooding.  I don't my grandmothers house in La Porte will be as lucky.  Spending another night at the hotel before making are way back.

So far the damage to my house is minimal.
One window leaked... I will have to see if there is a seal that can be fixed once the rain subsides.
One of my fake window shutters fell down (the other one will get the same faith -- they are made out of plastic)
The 10 ft tree in front of my house needs to be righted back up... its leaning right now to the right at about a 20 degree angle.
Major damage which will need to be repaired soon.
The on/off power blips caused my eheim 2213 impeller to break and after one of the power blips it started making a ton of noise.
I checked it and it looks like it came apart.  Attempted a repair but it didnt work.
I will need to get a new impeller I believe.
The tank has three filters on it, a AC110, Oddysea Ex350 with sponges, and the eheim 2213.   Right now the eheim is offline, but the other two are going strong (its a 58g tank) so hopefully it will last until City Pets or someone who has a spare can get me a replacement.  It currently houses my cyps (8 adults/5 juvi) and baby tropheus Duboisi (14)
All other tanks looks good.  My Nanochromis Parilus brought out their babies from the spawning cave and they are fighting the living out of the yoyo loaches.   The yoyo's are going to move today to a new tank for a while.

EK was nice enough to send me a TXT telling me that they have FOUND Alexarae !!!
She is okie, she is stuck, but she is ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is searching for David and EK told her that he last reported that he is at the HS.

David IF YOU READ THIS ALEXA is looking for you !  She is alive !!!

You better go find her and give her the longest HUG of your life !!!!!!!!!!

right now all tanks are ok...the 1000 gallons is on generator power. the corner bow front have 4 battery pumps running.

I'm blessed to have power at the loft right now..

I took an extra generator over to my grandmother's house this afternoon...thought I'd share just a few pics...first two are of the sign of the old Fish Ranch...last three are of a billboard next to the Shell station...guess that shell station had better come up with some hazrd pay...it looked like the signs had been lifted a little and then thrown back down.






The Fish Ranch sign used to be at the top of the pole.

one of the apartment building burnt down this morning in the complex where i lived at, other then that everything seems fine, and i made home before the 7 o clock curfew to find out i am the only one with power...
