Got some Tetra EasyStrips and they tested around 40 - 60 ppm for nitrates. So I'm guessing the liquid test kit I have lost its mojo?

Gonna test again Monday when I do my usual water change to see how much more nitrates go up.

Yeah, it was a BNIB that I bought just now. Don't think I'll be using it long term and I'm picking up that FW kit from JohnnyMisty at the meeting.

I use them just for quick reference to see if I need to bust out the master kit. Plus you can put your "meds" in there

So any thoughts on why my liquid kit would read zero nitrates twice? Too old perhaps? It's about a year old.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

I can test with both kits and report back.

I expect that there will be no difference in results.

Sunny, retest the nitrate levels. I fine this is the hardest one to test for.
                            This is the correct answer.
