I added a layer of coarse sponge on the bottom and two layers of sponge up top and both ends are wrapped with extra fine mesh.

LOL they are meant for cooking. but work great for purigen. They are less than a dollar a piece so I never reuse them...

I have a few of "the bag". But I also use these fish bags. My wife gets them for me at welcome supermarket in china town.
