    Cute Thai

Greg did see them spawn and lay eggs and things like that.........But I have a feeling that she just was too stressed from the new environment and I do not even remember if Greg said how many he got and or what ratio.. Altho I do know that he was intending to sell off a few males... which makes me think that he has at least 3 females and one male.

O, sorry Bill. I wasn't joking or being a smart @$$ like normal.

There are actually reports outh there that tropheus and petros will sometime hold snail shells thinking they are eggs.

I had one lufubu do it, and John has reported this also with his petro.
I ate my fish that died.

I did not think you were being a jokester. I thought that there is a reasonableness that Greg could have been mistaken..... I just figured you to be asking an obvious question.... After all these are wild caught... good size.... probably in pretty good size tanks.. have bred before... So why shouldn't they hold............. In all seriousness

why should they not hold.... obviously if the other female pestered to death... lack of hiding spaces.... and so forth... or even not fertilization.

There were a lot of words being bandied about in the forum from Not stripping until the 5th day until the notochord was developed... and this phrase if she holds the eggs for the early 8 days, they are fecundated then Fertilization is going to occur the first day,, the first twenty two seconds or something.....

Anyway... there were lots of things going on when I answered you in what I took it to be totally a logical question and legally asked...

        Bill

Brian thinks the algae is glowing...

              You tell me

If it glows - I am getting new glasses...and maybe a new monitor too...

I want to apologize to Thai and Brian, the administrators and any others that read my comments to Thai about spoofing his ip. It was the wrong thing to say or do, to even suggest as to the consequences of doing such a thing was pointed out to me after I had suggested it. Even in seriousness or in jest, it is wrong to always circumvent what has been done by the administrators and moderators of another forum, site or blog. I was wrong. I'm sorry.

Some may say that this apology is overdue but because it was brought to my attention privately, I chose to not push any further and will not suggest any further for anyone on this forum or others to try to sneak or slide. However, due to the fact that in the other forum, I was snapped pretty hard in a response I had given to a member that was banned on this forum.

What was interesting was that because of this being brought to my attention the consequences of spoofing an ip address, I shared those same consequences to the individual that has been banned. I should not have spoken at all.

It does not matter who did the slapping or anything, but that he was right. I am trying to make it right here and it is many days late. Again, I apologize for the suggestions and offense.

                  Bill

                    No need to apologize.

I still have no idea what you are talking about.
