    Ya'all should a contest....

I bet Greg gets at least 250 per fry.....

    But

Why do fry when you could wait for a few months and get say 400 per sexable fish...

We can only pray that Alison has huge successes and she probably will........ And then let the wars begin...eh?

Tom's Tanganyikans has dropped the price on WC males (5 IN) to $460 a fish. Surely F1 have to sell for less
        120g - Tropheus Moorii Kambwimba
        180g - Petrochromis Macrognathus Dine/Tropheus Moorii Namansi I

Don't know about monopoly. Tank over on CF has F1s starting to breed. I believe be got those f1s from Chip. Where they came from before that I don't know....

Finally price I'm guessing is realistically $100-150 per f1. I'm seeing final price on WC being $300-350. If the fish keeps coming in who knows how low it will drop.

I'm guessing it cost $150-250 (largely depending on size) per WC fish. Everything else is mark up. As of now, it seems like collections efforts are still doing down.

              So then.........

Should we consider the petro's (like the flame tail) to start coming in like tropheus??? Remember not too long ago, there was quite the scramble to get even Blue Giants... now everyone seems to have them.........

Its almost like a flood gate is opening. Of course, the price for wild caught petro is quite a bit higher than the measly tropheus...

The exporters are going to respond to demand, it is only going to take some time for them to gather the fishes we are requesting.

Sometimes that may take 2-3 years laggin..

I see requests for Namansii Reef for the last 4-5 years from serious people and then BAMM ...they become availible...

Serious people put the money where the mouth is, and it will happen...

Just like in Field of Dreams...build it and they will come..

Don't know about the flame tails. Their true collection point is still relatively "undisclosed" right?

If the money is there exporters are going to bring them in. But you have to factor in real cost. Petros are harder to collect in large numbers because they don't school. Bigger fishes also. Meaning less per box. I don't see them costing the same as tropheus.
