I'm pretty sure she did that after Geoff fed the fish last night. Not positive, because I didn't want to spook her and walk up close to the tank and eye her, but I saw significantly less fry and her mouth was full again, lol. I think in the frenzy for food, she thought it got a little out of hand and took some of them back. I should go check on them to see.

I got 20 of these ugigi fry from Geoff last summer. They are 2" now and starting to dance. Can't wait till march so I can put them in the 300gal pond. When I bring them in in October hope to have over 50 fry or more. What I noticed about brichardi's is how many fry the female will release. I've counted 12 from one female. My pineapples never released more than 5-6 at most.

I'm no troph person, but yeah, there were a LOT of fry there! I counted 11 in one quick glance before I went to get the camera, and there were others hanging around in the rocks to the left and probably some that I couldn't see.

These Ujiji are some awesome fishes. It is one of my personal favortie tanks to watch.

No kidding! They're the size of some of my full-grown fishes!
