my bad, I'm drinking and posting so you know....

Tank: standard 75g with cherry stand and canopy
    Lights: 127w CF.
    Filtration over media: 1) wet/dry powered by a mag 7; 2) 2x eheim pro II 2026
Flow via PHs: 1) modded tunze 2) k1

    total flow: 700+250+250+1200+400= 2,800gph/75g= 37.33 turnover rate.

I'm sure it's lower than that. Head pressure on the mag 7, media in the eheims, and guessing on the tunze.

Maybe get another timer and run the tunze on for an hour and off for 15 mins, on for two hours and off for 30 mins. I don't know, just like make it all random over the course of the day.

I bet it would trip the fishes out.

thats a better idea. but why not just get a tunze controller? or this , it would be funny to see them freak out when current comes on outta nowhere and blasts 'em.

Knew about the controller and didn't want to put the cash out for that when I can get another vortech.

But I sure can use that JBJ wave maker!

          Good looking out.

O, forgot to mention. The moded tunze may go into reverse flow when the power is turned on and off. At first I had to put my hand in front of it to get it to flow normal again. The part that is removed to mod it causes this problem.

However, for the last 3 months I have not had this problem. I think it's because I got so much algae all over the PH that the impeller doesn't move up and down much when the power is turned on and off.

exactly what i was thinking, could your overflow(s) handle a bigger mag drive? i've been eyeing that jbj for awhile.

It might be able to. It got one 1" U-tube. So with head pressure I think I could get a little bigger pump.

But if I upgrade anything, regarding flow and filters, I would just get drop the k1 and get another tunze or get a vortech.

another tunze and that jbj but filtrated gph is better than just flow gph.

Ok, so I finally learned how to do video and post them.

This is for Mike. I'll do the lufubu/polli tank at night when there is not so much light hitting the glass.

This video is of the namani reefs. Like I said, all they do is school. Only in 4 foot tank and they school all day. I bet in a 6 or 7 footer they would fly around!

Hope you guys enjoy it. Any tips on making the video better is highly welcomed. I'm new to all this.

nice schooling. bout time you got in the game with some vids . more angles, less stationary would make the vid better. are those fry in there already?

No luck at all. But these guys came in bad with the sunkin face and heads. Most are coming back nicely but one or two still has that look. I been feeding them a lot too.

I figure it's a matter of time. I'm think this group is going to take at least 6 months to really start breeding.

Oddest thing is there is still no male holding down the left or right rock pile. That worries me. No terrority means no breeding, no matter what condition the females are in.

I might have to change the rock scape.

Welcome to any ideas. Fish don't breed means fish not happy.
