Yeah I know. I've only had them for like a month and a half. Still trying to condition the females. A lot have gotten better but some still got that bony look on their face.

Although I was expecting fry when I got back from vacation, I did not see any in my group. But it was nice to be gone for a week and a half and I only lost 1 fish (with no feedings during that period)

                wth?!

you got to get auto feeders man. I leave 3-4 days at a time. I'm rarely home at certain times of the year because I had to travel for school.

Get this one...it's on sale. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...fm?pcatid=4460

I already got two. I might just get two more cause they are on sale.

I would rather get the battery backup filtration for power outages (ie Vortech)

I increased the lighting period in order to have some food (algae) for the fish. And the one lose was one that was struggling in the group any way.

Found another website that sells a 5 pack for $149.99

This would stock you up in case you have several tanks you want to feed while gone.

in that article i read last night that you posted the link for , it said that getting enough food for a period of time to prepare the females for egg laying and breeding is a big part of them actually breeding. in the wild the males will allow the female to share their territory and food supply for a period of a few weeks until they spawn and then the female will find a secluded spot for protection while her mouth is full. so get em nice and fat and they should start pumping out fry.
