My 58 has a Eheim 2213, AC110, and a Odessea EX350 sponge filter.
My 70 has a Eheim 2215, AC110, and a Maxi-Jet 1200
My 110 has a Pro/Clear 175 with a MAG 12 on it. Going to add a Hydor Korilia 4 to it soon.
My upcoming 180 will have a wet/dry rated for a 400g tank, with a MAG 18 and two Hydor Korilia 4's for additional water movement.

You should add a canister to your 180 for mechanical and polishing and overfiltration.

I dont have a problem with the water being polished in the 110.. The biggest problem I have in that tank today is not enough water moving and because of that poop is allowed to settle. Come next month this will change when I add a Hydor Korilia 4 into the mix and allow the water to really move around the tank and push all the poop to the surface where it will be filtered out. On the 110 I have the space on for a canister, and I would need to add a massive unit on it, not because of the size of the tank but because the head on the canister would be somewhere around 6ft and well most smaller canisters have no flow at that head height.

The 180.. there isnt space to install a canister.. When you see the tank you will understand.. I have a 2.5-3" Euro bracing all the way around. Hoses are going to look like poop and there is only about 1.5" of space on the back side for hoses to run down unless you suggest I put the hoses on the front show size of the tank. (Remember built into the wall)

These arent my first tropheus, but I am pretty excited about them. He didnt get he...I got him...look at his 125 Tang. Tank thread. He got bashed for his dumb sponge filter, so I was just referencing back to that. And if brothers cant pick on each other, then where is this world headed.
