Just really quick about the raffle thing, I think it would be a good idea to push it later, but later meaning about 8:30 or so. That way, like Rebekah said, everything can be organized without having to rush, and people can look around some more. And I think that's okay for those planning on leaving at a reasonable hour, I hope. I'm just glad I don't have to work on Saturdays!!
Hope everyone that's sick is feeling better by then! Â :)
I would like to promote and advertise the fact that the newly formed Greater Houston Aquarium Club will be having it's official 3rd meeting at Mikes Tropical Fish & Pets this Friday evening. The meetings are casual and we welcome anyone who is interested in the hobby of maintaining aquariums.
I would like to mention, that I am not a club officer, just a active member who is interested in welcoming other HFB members or guests to come on out and spend a friday evening talkin to other fish heads about tanks and fish.
As a new member of the club, I hope to recieve some time soon, some sort of news letter or club paper, that will provide insight as to some of the future club events or projects or aspirations. Maybe there should be a short discussion at our next meeing about such events??? Â I know it's a new club and we're just getting off the ground here, and again, I don't mean to get out of line.
I am really looking  forward to seeing as many of you other new members as possible again this friday and hopefully learning a thing or two about tanks, fish or maybe just life in general.  See you all there, (hopefully Roy & Heidi too) & keep an eye on Mike if you play chess with him, I think he cheats..... :)

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.
Are you as excited as I am? Â I hope so. Â I expect this meeting to better than the last. Â There will also be some special announcements.
For those who have offer to donate items for the Raffle, please try to arrive by 7:30pm. Â This will allow time to setup the Raffle and time for everyone to look at everything. Â The actual Raffle will commence after the meeting, roughly around 8:30pm. Â If you know you will arrive late, please try to arrange to leave at Mike's before hand or for someone to bring with them to the meeting. Â :)
I believe Lorretta has the Raffle Tickets. Â Do we need more small labels and brown paper lunch bags?
I haven't checked the weather, but I would assume the weather would be a little chilly, keep in mind the meeting is outside under a covering. Â Please bring folding or otherwise as seating will be limited.
Here is a list of what individuals have volunteered to bring, including donations. Â If you would like to bring something, please post on here or send me a PM.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

After a bit of research, it is a Cyp. leptosoma "Neonhead" to the best of my knowledge. I got him seperately form all the other Cyps that I have, which are of a different strain.

He is a peaceful cichlid that likes having room to swim around (40g+). Will work in a non-cichlid tank or a tang community tank. Malawi would be too aggressive for him (save for maybe yellow labs).
