Steps to clear your internet browser cookies

  • Steps to clear your internet browser cookies and/or cache

    If anyone has any problems logging in, try clearing your cookies.


    If you have IE8, do this.....
    1. Exit Internet Explorer 8, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
    2. In Windows, click Start, type inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER
    3. On the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box.
    4. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click to clear all of the check boxes except for the Cookies check box.
    5. Click Delete.
    To verify that the cookie files are deleted, follow these steps:
    1. Exit Internet Explorer 8, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
    2. In Windows, click Start, type inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER
    3. In the Internet Properties dialog box, on the General tab, click Settings under Browsing History.
    4. In the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog box, click View Files. This opens the folder where your cookie files are stored.
    5. In the folder that you opened in step 4, verify that there are no .txt files.
    If you have IE 7, do this....
    1. Exit Internet Explorer 7, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
    2. In Windows, click Start, type inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    3. On the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box.
    4. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click Delete Cookies.
    5. In the Delete Cookies dialog box, click Yes.
    To verify that the cookie files are deleted in Internet Explorer 7
    1. Exit Internet Explorer 7, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
    2. In Windows, click Start, type inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    3. In the Internet Properties dialog box, on the General tab, click Settings under Browsing History.
    4. In the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog box, click View Files. This opens the folder where your cookie files are stored.
    5. In the folder that you opened in step 4, verify that there are no .txt files
    If you have Firefox, do this....
    1. After the browser opens, click on "Tools".
    2. Now click on Clear Recent History. Alternatively, you can access this menu directly by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
    3. Now, beside "Time range to clear", click "Everything".
    4. Click on Details and select only Cookies and Cache.
    5. Select Clear Now.

    2. Select Tools.
    3. Select Clear browsing data.
    4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
    5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
    6. Click Clear browsing data.
