is that just the ilagi sp. or all tropheus,because ive had small groups of red moliros and ikolas and never had any issues.the moliros i had 3 males and 7 fm.

this is true for all tropheus. if you get lucky, you can get away with a small trio or group, but for the most part, it's always advised to get as many as possible.

as long as you have 1-2 males i think you would be alright with 10 15 of them in a colony,but with my income s small colony is my only option.i would love to have 25 -30 of them but its not possible for me.i also had 2 m 8fm in a small 55 gal that bred like rabbits,hardly any aggression.i dont think i got lucky 3 times .this is just my opinnion.

anything is doable. you can keep a trio of dubs and they will not kill each other.


However, it doesn't mean it's the best thing for them. but hey, just try it and tell us how it turns out.  :wink:

I agree with EK that more would be better.

Thats why I asked you to join the 1 site and ask others opinion.

I think you'll be ok with some Petro's and Trophs together in a tank as long as you have some rock work and caves for them.

Yes I was reffering to Troph's, but didn't want to name drop as some sites might get mad for naming another place.

This site isn't like other sites.... it's more laid back and less restrictive like some of the other sites.


As for how many Ilangi's...  that depends on how nice of a purse I bring home from LouisVuiton or Gucci  :(
