is that just the ilagi sp. or all tropheus,because ive had small groups of red moliros and ikolas and never had any issues.the moliros i had 3 males and 7 fm.
this is true for all tropheus. if you get lucky, you can get away with a small trio or group, but for the most part, it's always advised to get as many as possible.
as long as you have 1-2 males i think you would be alright with 10 15 of them in a colony,but with my income s small colony is my only option.i would love to have 25 -30 of them but its not possible for me.i also had 2 m 8fm in a small 55 gal that bred like rabbits,hardly any aggression.i dont think i got lucky 3 times .this is just my opinnion.
