Re: Have a school FOR a school?

I spoke with her last night.
The 20 she has needs to be resealed.
I am trying to get her a 29 gallon tank.
I am not sure of what type of filters she has.
She will be in meetings all day today.
As far as fish goes she is still unsure of.
What ever fish she gets they should be frys so the kids get to watch them grow.

i thought the brichardi would be good for a 20 gallon if they are the primary residents, and they will breed almost as well as convicts

And they take so much longer to grow that by the time she needs a larger tank , she will have had plenty of time to aquire it

Re: Have a school FOR a school?

              okay folks...
I am pretty sure I have a 30 gallon and some fish for it on the way.
I plan on working on the 20 tall tomorrow.  I'll let you know if the sealant works.  I have had a couple of other offers for other size tanks and do not want to rush in or promise to take or buy anything else at the moment.  I don't want to seem too greedy.  ;-) I do want to thank you all for being so completely generous and friendly to me as a new person.  I know my students are going to love this.  If the offers continue to pour in, I may share with other teachers in the building.  Wow... you are all sooooo wonderful.  Thank you!!!!

I still have the one ten gallon empty.  Right now, the other is going to be for some mini fries lol... until they get some size on them.

I'll update soon (and I'll keep reading)

Re: Have a school FOR a school?

                Okay....
I have the two ten gallon tanks going and one of them is now housing 6 icebregs?, courtesy of Cesar and an albino pleco courtesy of me lol... and the other tank (purchased from somefishguy at a great bargain) only has an albino pleco and a piece of cucumber.  However, Hanson77 is giving me a great deal on a 30gal heater, filter, the works...even with fish...so his fry will be occupying that tank AS WELL AS  some kinda of fry in my other 10.  I have a hard time remembering the different types and their names.  Cesar, Hanson77, if you will write out (message) me with the names, I would love it so I can have the kids research.

I am so excited.  I can't wait to get the kids as excited about fish as I am right now.  Cesar can vouch for the classroom.  He got to see some of the chaos involved prior to the kids' arrival.

Thank you all so much for your support.  No worries *laughs* I'm sticking around.  I have grown quite fond of this community.   Hopefully I'll have some pics soon.  You will at least get to see the set up...

                Thanks again :-)
