Geoff,

Here are some quick pics I took with the blackberry...no digi cam around here, lol. As you can see, Im testing as I build with weights from my bench; its 210 pounds.

Note, the garage floor is uneven, so the stand may look off a bit, but no worries, its an illusion.







The last pic is a joint detail. I am going to add blocking as well for extra stiffness. She's holding solid...its going to look great when done.

Its going to look great. When you get ready to start the stain let me know which stain you picked up. I am waiting for a reply on what stain was used on another custom I have picked up.

but at the same time dont wait more than a day on me, and just go with the one we agreed on.

All PM's have been answered by now. Building will resume on Monday with all my current projects; I've had a wedding to deal with this weekend, so I haven't touched anything since Friday.

Geoff, I will attempt to complete yours tomorrow, and usually when I attempt to do things, I get them done. Pictures will be of the progress. I may even surprise you with an added bonus.

To everyone else, just ask around, I do good stuff. I've posted some of my work here. I have reasonable pricing, I use good materials, and I am quick.

Progress

Geoff, here are the pictures promised...










As you can see, we have stained the back of the stand. The color is fantastic. The 3/4" shelves have been cut and nailed in place and sanded. I have applied wood putty on all exterior nail holes, so this is where I stopped. Tomorrow I sand again, stain everything, and let dry. Wednesday I put the sealer. It will be ready for you to pick up Friday if you want from me, or Saturday from my brother.

Will update with pictures once I stain tomorrow.

I wanted to ask you...would you want 1/4" paneling on the sides as well? It'll be just an extra $25 material and $10 labor. Let me know by tonight, so I can go back to the store tomorrow to get the material to install. I think it'll make it look really nice.

Looking really good...I want to leave the sides open for access to powerstrips, filters, and for viewing as well.

Dont forget the holes for the electrical on the backer.

Color is actually a mix I usually do - Red Mahogany and Dark Walnut. Its really beautiful.
