Re: Setting up a HUGE fishtank!!!!

here is some advice im starting to listen to myself.....mke sure you really want what you put in the tank!! its a pita to catch out little fish in a big tank!

dont scrub anything on an acrylic tank. there is a LFS that sells clowns at a fair price i will ask him if he ships when i stop by later this week.

Re: Setting up a HUGE fishtank!!!!

That's good advice, as acrylic scratches incredibly easily. Fortunately, they do make scrubbers (sponges, etc.) meant specifically for acrylic tanks, so just make sure you get those!  :)

Re: Setting up a HUGE fishtank!!!!

i know having a GOOD clean up crew -  pleco's and gaint snails will help me keep the tank clean inside!!! so i don't need anything to clean the inside, and outside shouldn't need anything  special...

                thanks again for the advice!

Re: Setting up a HUGE fishtank!!!!

actually there is only a small amount of plecos that actually keep the tank clean and most of them poop more than they clean.

the loaches actually do the best job of keeping things clean by eating scraps off the floor.

for cleaning the inside glass of my 180 gallon, i keep 2 normal pleco's ( the brown ones ) they about 10 inches in size and those baby's clean all day :-) rest of the pleco's are for show only....
