Cycle times vary....best to check with a test kit.

I would just wait off on it until the tank is cycled. If you don't have a test kit....it's safe to wait a month.

Ya one you eat shell on mine didn't have the head I just threw if in and frozen is fine itll thaw out and decompose and kick the cycle off good

A dead skrimp from the store go to the seafood counter and ask for one they'll most likely give it to you free just throw it in for a day or two or till its completely dissolved your choice

so just throw in a dead shrimp that we eat? i got some frozen ones is that alrite? shell on or off? headless?

Lol, this is why you should have been set it up. I always rush to set up with LR, water, and power head. While I wait for the cycle to complete, I get all the equipment I need set up.

Once everything is fully complete, I'm ready for corals.
