Yea it's pretty much the only camera that records video in phaseshift. Everyone else uses contrast.

I might get some live brine shrimp to feed it haha. Evil....
I dunno if anyone has live Mysis though, maybe really small ghost shrimp or sacrifice a rcs. But it seems the acans can sense pods somehow. Like 1:15 or something in, if you watch the bottom right corner. There's a little trigger pod swimming around. He acans moves it's tentacles around to grab it but it misses.

i lied... its around 2:10-2:15 you'll see the little pod swim by the bottom right. awesome

madugo: haha you're the first to comment on the music. What can i say, im a sucker for final fantasy. except the last one, crap was so boring.

Nacra: the bio pellets work pretty decently. You have to start real slow with them though. But after a while it stabilizes... i use it with mb7. Last time i checked my po4 was at .033 which is pretty decent in my book.

myjohnson: no update on the light yet. I went ahead and ordered the 2nd light, because of the long wait time... i didn't wanna have to wait any longer. Just let me know if you wanna pick up the acans. Its still poofy as ever. It doesn't stick out its tentacles like my red one. But i'm trying to train it.

Trung, my 60p is lightless at the moment and all my corals are still in the small 45f.

Pictures suck, my macro lens is too old and it flares alot. So this is the best i can do in 10 mins.

The other corals frags i got from "naka" james is doing better, not 100% but i think im making headway. Notice the blue color at the base. Seems like the new growth has color. Finally.... hopefully another 2-3 months and it'll be nice again.


Plum Crazy still looks kinda weird but the good news is its growing. Theres a small stem growing from the encrusted base on the right.


Purple Plasma is getting it color back, i guess I was blasting it with too much light. But I did start adding amino acids to the tank so it could be that.


Heres a comparison picture. Seems my red planet is not growing that fast, or at all. Joe the coral on the other hand is growing bananas. It was shorter than the red planet but now its a good 1/4" higher and is branching out.

The bad news = losing another mariculture colony today. my blue tort doesn't look good either. So im a little depressed... so far only ora has been doing ok. I'll just wait it out and see.

Man I dunno why I'm losing coral. I think it has to do with me. Everytime something stn or rtn on me... It was right after I started jacking with it. I should just leave it alone.

I think mariculture sps is Alot more sensitive to changes. The weird thing is the mariculture sps were doing fine. Growing like crazy, good PE, then 2 days later it's freaking dying. The top of one that's stn is still growing. Do maybe the bottom wasn't getting enough light and died. When the coral starts dying it spreads like wildfire. So Imma lay low on mariculture sps for the moment. So far I'm 2/4 on them. Wouldn't be so bad if they weren't 50-70 a piece. I think Imma just stick to ora for now. I'll check the dead skeletons later for aefw or redbugs. I guess I need to make a habit of dipping my coral better.
