Mag was a lol low so I upped that it's around 1300 but that should be decent. My tank is finally starting to grow coralline. It's sad because I Just set up junk 10g and threw all my junkie surf in there and it's growing coraline are 2 weeks.

Im still thinking it has something to do with the gfo. I'm also not running carbon ATM so I'll probably throw some in this weekend.

Sps could be dying cuz the tank is too new. I just don't understand how it could be growing one day with good PE and he next day dying.

Skimmer, unknown at the moment. I'm get the biggest one I can fit in the sump.

I'm using a mag 2 as return, it's rated for 250gph so I'm guessing 200gph after head pressure.

I'm a little disappointed in the OF box. It's bigger then I thought. They could have made it smaller.

Dipping is a must man. I got lazy with my 45-f and didn't dip every frag I got. Damn flat worms got to my tank.

I'm dip everything that goes into the 60p.

How stable is the temp?

Good idea on the carbon. I guess it can only help.

You got any algae problems?

No algae except for the type that gets on your glass. I only clean the glass twice a week so every 3-4 days. Which is pretty good. I run my ac 24/7 but my place stays pretty cool though. Temp is 79.5 to 80.3 so I don't think it's temp flux. Majority of the time it's 79.8

I need to check my po4 but since I have pretty much no algae I don't think that's a problem. Might not be getting enough par, I should have aquascape better. I put the purple plasma too high, it's either I burn the plasma or not enough light for the coral that is deeper down. That's one thing I noticed about the maxspect. Since no optics it seems par dissipates really fast in just a matter of 4 inches. This is the only thing I can think of, that's how the branches on top are growing yet the bottom is dying.

Yea about 2-3 hours. Slowly moving it up. I need to get my par meter. It's been sitting at my moms house. I get stuff delivered there now since it ups keeps on messing up deliveries to the apt.

I really have no idea how much par I'm pushing out with the maxspect. So at least now I can measure it and know instead of just guessing. You still gonna do a 60p sps tank?

I keep on getting fish nowadays, so far so good with the fish. I got a decent collection of fish. Not much to choose from considering the size.

I'm planning on having some decorative macros in the display and a fuge in the sump.

I'm thinking just cheato in a fish breeder basket and see how it works out.

If my levels are still high, I may consider gfo.

I'm dump this clown fish on Jim real fast and go fishless until I get an impulse.

yea the mandarin is from ora. City pets had them for so cheap i had to pick one up. I shoulda waited for the blue mandarin though. I don't feed mines anything special anymore. I guess hes just eatting pods. But I do blanket feed cyclopleez and prawneggs so i hope it eats that every now and then.

I don't have any frags at the moment, just started my new tank a few months ago. in all honesty i shouldn't even be trying sps yet, but i'm learning that out the hard way right now. I'll probably have something by the marsh xmas banquet.

I got a few new frags at the picnic. Had a pretty good time.

Picked up 2 black clowns. I tried to out them in my Elos. The two new clowns went over to hang out with the 2 old clowns like it was nothing. 2 old clowns whooped their asses. So I had to throw the new clowns in my spare tank.

Funny story, I didn't know fish kept their house clean. The tang was over hanging out with the 2 old clowns. Took a pretty big dump next to their anemone. The big clown then scooped it up in it's mouth and proceeds to swim across the tank to the other side to spit out the poo. I thought that was hilarious. Didn't know clown were such neat freaks.
