My New 55g Setup!

Yea I'm just throwing junk out there. I've had pe issues before too, but soo many factors to consider. My latest issues seemed like flow, didn't change anything else but some corals have nice pe some don't.

That's why I'm thinking mh for my frag tank. Less to worry about with it. 14k phoenix ftw.

I think LEDs are harder to fine tune. You have to know what kinda par you have. I moved a few corals from 100 par to 200 and I'm getting crazy pe. Could be flow related too. Cuz I rotated one coral and the pe sucks now.

Some corals are crazy pe, some corals not so much. So I would imagine acclimation n flow are important too. But it's just seems harder to keep the corals happy with LEDs. Mh seemed so easy compared to LEDs. Things just worked with mh.

I dose coral frenzy and refrig kinds too. I think I am going back to the MH. I don't get th PE with these LEDs. Temp was high with the MH but the PE was excellent on the SPS.

Yea, just like if you overdose your 2part. It could mess some coral up. The most dangerous is alk. Calc is harder to od.

You just have to measure your alk. Wait a week without dosing and then measure again. Then use the brs dosing Calc, and divide by 7 for daily dose. Smaller doses more often is safer.

I bought Brs stuff. if you want you can stop by and make some if you want. I have a lot of stuff. I don't mind cus I have enough for years.

I made 1 gallon jugs of alk (part a), Calc (part b), and mag.

So far it's been 5-6 months and I'm down half way. I have a lot of Sps though. I dose 40ml a day. So Brs 2 part 1 gallon tubs might last you over a year.

My 375g is getting a coralife pro 3x250w 4x96w fixture. I'm dead broke now.

Now more buying big purchases.

how much mL do you dose a day? I dose about 40-50mL each a day now.

according to the esv instruction, i think it says only needs around 8 ml a day for my tank, i do it mostly every other day, sometimes daily...and that little bottle is going pretty fast...

Anyone for an uber alk/calk/mag group buy from BRS? haha them foos made a killing off of just us guys here this past weekend.

maybe but you need high quality steel. I dont have access to that... plus i would make it pretty ghetto lol. Lower grade steel will rust and could containment the tank.
