70% blue and 40% white. just ordered my vdm for my apex. First thing Imma do is set up a lightning storm to scare the crap outta my fish. I miss the shimmer off the maxspect though.

Par from maxspect was around 100-150
Par now is about the same, lil higher 150-175

I have both the maxspect and now the Aquaillumination lights.

I just finished putting up the ai lights. I like the color off the ai a little better but the maxspect had awesome shimmer. The 30w LEDs made it look just like a metal halide. I haven't really heard any negatives about LEDs. Besides poor coloration in red spectrum. But that's cured but putting a few warmwhite or red LEDs in.

I'm getting pretty good growth. My tank goes thru stages, at times certain corals will grow insane while others recede, then now those corals slowed down while my other Sps grow out. I have a few frags that almost totally encrusted the plug. Color is coming back to a few of the frags and it's crazy the colors I'm getting. It's almost on par with the colors I got when I just got the frags.

I'll try to snap some pictures when I get home. I havent had much luck with mariculture Sps though. I've lost 3 colonies already and I'm about to lose my Ora pearlberrry. It's hit or miss with Sps, too many factors to say what's the cause.

How are LEDs working out for SPS? I was initially thinking about doing LED but I'm reading mix reviews. The color spectrum looks amazing though.

No you have to order the apex vdm module. It's 100 bucks and let's you do junk like storm and cloud on there. Imma wait til thy finish the firmware before ordering it. Vdm firmware is still in beta right now.
