cool, I didn't see the brackets. Good luck either way, looks like a great start. Keep the updates coming. I've got a 40B in the garage also collecting dust and I'm getting the itch...I may follow your lead.

BTW, drilling the glass...tough, easy? Leave it to the pro's? Any advice?

Oh Yea it wasn't complete when i took pic i decided to do the rest in the ac. Drilling glass is easy but takes time.Do not apply pressure, let the weight of the drill do the work. My buddy drilled the first hole and told me to give the other a try and it was easy. We used plumbers puddy to create a bowl around the drill site and filled with water to reduce heat. You can also have someone holding a hose and spraying the area while drilling.

Do it take the leap again !! Its fun

Scape looks good. I would paint the drain pipe. It sticks out like a sore thumb.

Also make sure all rock are secure. Crabs and snails will knock them down. And the rock on the right looks to close to the glass. Make sure you can fit a scrubber in between.

I'd be interested to see what the par levels are... that's a lot of light to be sitting that close to the tank

Dude I showed you mine before. Neptune apex controller. Controls everything in the tank and you can connect it to the web and access it anywhere. No large tank should go without it, IMO.
