The serial number was already peeling off. This was a brand new sealed box too! Oh well, as long as it works good i'm happy.

Watch that serial number. The warranty can be based on two things, receipt or serial number. If you don't have a receipt they will base the warranty of the serial number. First 4 number show the year and month the until was made. There was a production problem with the ceramic rings on the PM40w that cause it to wear down faster than normal. I don't know if the PM10 has the same problem.

Nice power head none the less! Battery back-up makes it worth the money. K-nano can't save your tank if IKE hits again.

I dunno if anyone noticed but I used the ADA aquasoil trick. 1 inch in the front and 2 inches in the back to create the illusion the tank is wider than it actually is.

im stoked!

ive got live rubble and im really debating on a sw nano or a mid tech planted tank..

its such a hard dissecion......

if i go sw, what all will i need?

im goin with carib-sea live sand, dead live rubble and ~4-5lbs of live rock.
what should i use for lighting?
would a 70watt Clamp-on JBJ viper hqi with a 14k phoenix bulb be enough?
would a cf light work ok?
if so, what wattage.

also, what filtration should i use?

im thinkg of buying a cabinet from home depot and staining it, and building a small sump out of a 5.5g tank.

ive got a 50watt submersible heater for the sump.
im thinking of using a mag 3 for a retun, and a k- nano modded for flow.

do i need to put anything under the ada tank to prevent it from cracking?

sorry for allt he questions, but this is so tempting,lol

i can always buy another ada tank for a palnted tank
