I want the hook up. I am definately going to do this right but at the same time try to save a little coin. I dont want to go all out and buy a chiller but I think a good fan should be a good insurance policy. I know my 90G planted never gets hot enough so I dont think this will either but better to be safe than sorry

lol, how you going to call me a show off?
You go a 60p, 90p, and 120p and don't even know what to do with them.
Talkin about using the 60p as a sump. Foo, gone-on and sell it to me already!

It just don't make sense to have 1k worth of fishes and be cheap with everything else.
It's not about showing off, it's not about acting cool, it's about providing for the dang fishes!
I got two PM40w on my tropheus tank and I still get PM about why I do that!
two mp40 on a tropheus tank? such a show off.

But I can see why people justify spending on these equipment.
Once you really stock with lots of rare stuff you definitely don't want to whimp out on cheapo/less quality stuff. The fun for us newbie is finding the right one!

Dual stage or single?
I got one free and another one for 40 bucks on marsh but it was the single stage one. I got it for my heater.

Why do the temp controllers have to cost so much? $200 is almost as much as I spent on the tank.

If you look up the Elos mini and look at the pics of the sump in the stand. Its the chamber on the left. I can not find the pic that has writing on it that shows what each chamber is for now.

The tank that holds RO water can be any size or shape for the most part. You might want to get something that will allow you to have a bigger sump under there.Originally posted by Darbex View PostMan that tank is pimp. Hey that gives me an idea. In one of the pics I see they have a chamber called "spare water". Couldnt I get one tank like a tall tank if there is one and make three chambers. One for spare water where my RO FW will set for the ATO and the second chamber where the frags and cheato are which spills over to the third chamber where the return pump is?
I have no idea what are you talking regarding the "three chambers" idea. Diagram time?
