    Surface scum....

This canister is rated for 80gph and I got a 5g tank. Bet the filter doesn't flow that much with all this LR I stuffed in there and the floss.

I just really want a sump so I can increase water volume, have more LR, and deal with the dang surface scum. I can picture a little snail dieing and have a mini cycle b/c of it.

Why are you worried about filtration?

Do weekly water changes and you might get by with it. you won't have to worry too much on filter system. Stop being lazy!

I like your idea of going with a little of both. Of course I lean toward the planted tank look.

Really, those pictures mean nothing to you guys?

I knew most people are going to lean towards corals so I posted those pictures in hopes of getting some support for it.

So far, two votes for coral it is!
