well so far, after i put him in he hung out on my frag rack for an hour then went under some rocks where i can just see his head sticking out for the last 2 hours. seems kinda shy. the chromis are real shy but i say give em a couple days and they will be swimming all over the place.

If you got a lot in the fuge then you might be able to sustain a populations. Just control the rate at which he eats them at.

How is his attitude? Shy or is he moving around a lot?

i like just having the one. i also have plenty of SF in my fuge. i may have to buy a starfish down the road but i'll see what happens.

You might have to buy a star fish once in a while for it. I don't see the population being able to keep up with one.

thats craziness. I love these guys though and been wanting one for a long time they just look awesome...i think that now i have the starfish pop to support one and when i went to the LFS to pic up some ABN's they had 3-4 of them. pretty cheap too.

it would take this guy weeks to finish off a huge starfish it took him 10-15 min just to eat a tiny asterina

I have read reports of up to a week. The HS will flip the SF over and just keep it in a cave. Slowly eat it away over the course of a week. The whole time the SF is alive b/c the HS starts with the arms first. Pretty wild shrimp.

I dose calcium when needed and some phyto hardly never... so pretty much just water changes

I been wanting to get one for my tropheus tank but I'm waiting for the fresh water version to come out.

Been waiting months but they just won't release the damn thing!
