Lol. That's not Capture NX2. That's View NX2 that comes with the camera. You can down load Capture NX2 trial from Nikon. And yes, it sucks that Nikon doesn't include. Raw editor with any of their cameras, not even a $3000 D800.

Btw, using view NX2 if you make those adjustments and upload it into the camera, the camera will do all that for you. It becomes a picture control option setting so you don't have to do it like this later.

Have you upgraded to firmware 1.2 yet? There seems to be a slight motion blur on this image.

The exif shows that the camera is shooting at 1/25 @ f/7.1 at 30mm @ iso100. I would have used 1/125 @ f/5.6 @ iso200 for that image..

I've tried to upgrade but it won't, the firmware states for J1/V1

When I add it to my sd card it does nothing and doesn't give me the option to run

hhmm it should give the same exposure as your settings. Is the tank the same as far as lighting goes when you took that pic?

Try bumping the iso up to 400 if its a bit dark..
