While it's a staggering number, the article itself states it's only an estimate.

Come on man to down grade the article your reply is the article says its only an estimate? Almost every number thrown out there is an estimate there is almost no way to get it 100% correct. So lets assume that there is a standard deviation of 10% which is high for most estimates and the likes. So at best there is nearly 20,000 people killed a year by illegals. Still far out paces the two wars we are in combined.

Over 1,000 have been killed in Afghanistan, and over 4,300 in Iraq.

Yeah the article is a few years old but at the rate its going I am sure that the number is higher for deaths by illegals

I think you've got me wrong, what I'm saying is that the article, witht he information presented, leaves me with some questions. for example

it says plainly, there are no federal statistics, so where did Congressman King get his numbers from?

Again, where did these numbers come from.

Are we assuming that all unliscensed drivers are illegal aliens.

This is a good point, but the question I have is simply, how much did the prison population go up altogether? And how many of these people are in prison just for being illegal?

Another good point, but I've always been under the assumption that most people in prison are repeat offenders.

While no one can deny that illegal immigration is a problem in this country, I do believe though that THIS PARTICULAR article uses unverifiable statistics and half truths as a way to bias it's readers (as most news articles do). Estimates are fine, but can be embellished very easily. I can easily estimate that Imagirlgeek and Imaguygeek have 4-5 million fish in their home. and while I'm probably close lol, it's still just an estimate

This is why we should adopt Mexico's policy towards illegals. This boys father went to LA City Hall and voiced his opinions about the cities stupid boycott of AZ. The city of LA voted 3-2 to boycott AZ. I hope they do a full boycott and do not take any power or water from the state. Idiot liberals, I will call the city offices and let them know I will not ever visit the city again as long as they have these policies in place.

I say tell them to Piss Off and send these countries a bill for Education, Medical, Incarceration, Border Patrol, etc... expenses associated with illegal immigrants. Then pass a law that would make the country from which the illegals entered pay a fine (amount determined by cost to deal with these criminals) for every person found inside or crossing our boarders illegally.

I mean I dont care if you agree or disagree with the AZ law. But any nation suing another nation or state because of their law is absurd. We should sue the state of Coahuila for their laws not controlling the crime spilling over into Laredo.
